He's been nominated for an Oscar twice (In America, Blood Diamond). I love it when an African actor does very well in Hollywood.
@FranklinNJ8 жыл бұрын
He deserved to win the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor almost all his scenes were incredibly intense compared to the low key role of Alan Arkin who won for Little Miss Sunshine, are you kidding me, not even close, Arkin could have done that role in his sleep snoring. The Departed did not deserve Best Picture either it had 20 different subplots that was too incredible and unbelievable.

I truly don't get what makes it "supporting actor"? For me, he was the main actor. If anything, Leonardo was the support and Djimon truly deserved it
@noamias48977 жыл бұрын
Sean Robinson JR yeah exactly the story was about Djimon's character's journey t get his family back if he meets two people on the way that helps him that doesn't make him the 2nd character lol

That was back when the Academy wanted to snub anything that was involved with a post-Titanic Leonardo DiCaprio. They really held that role against him because of the screaming teenage girls.

this may sound odd, but im really glad Djimon is happy with how the film turned out,. there a lot of critics who think the film was too "hollywood-y", which I disagree with and im glad he is not one of those people.
