With the Abbot’s Night Creatures I think they’re different because he’s not a true Forgemaster. Isaac said that it takes years of study to become a Forgemaster and the ones he and Hector created were loyal only to them, the Abbot’s show free will and Edouard is even defying him. Isaac also said that Forgemasters “pull demons out of Hell and into human corpses,” and Fly Eyes described his life on Earth as if from centuries ago. Edouard and Jacques are recalling their own lives. Hector also mentions the connection between a Forgemaster and their tools and the Abbot didn’t make the machine, he just uses it. It’s the difference between a skilled artisan and an industrial work shop, higher quality versus quantity. The Abbot’s Night Creatures may do the job, but they aren’t as effective or obedient as a True Forgemaster’s.

Yup. I love that parallel between the artisan and the industrial work shop because one of the big reasons why Dracula gave Targoviste a year was so that he could have enough time to gather his armies. It took Hector and Isaac about a year to make ALL of the night creature we see in the Dracula's army but every single one was loyal and obedient. Counting the ones that that got killed, the abbot managed to make about the same amount of them as Isaac had by the time he had arrived on the Captain's ship. (and he crossed a desert, no easy feat and much more time consuming) in justa few nights.

I've always viewed that a True Forgemaster requires a human element to make successful Night Creatures obey compared to a Monster Forging Machine that doesn't require an human element and just make 50/50 chance of making Night Creatures that obey.

Olrox doesn't turn into a dragon, he turns into a feathered serpent, which recalls the image of the Aztec god Quetzalcoatl. Also, Drolta's winged form is a reference to the Succubus, a recurring villain type in the games (and probably the one from SOTN specifically...)

So I’m not against the show taking that romance route with Annette. That’s also the entire point of having each successive generation of the Belmont Clan being more powerful than the last. It works.

The reason Olrox dislikes Erzabat is because she's essentially wishing to colonize the world, and Olorx would've been around during the conquistadors slaughtered the Aztecs. As well as in Aztec/Mayan mythos the blocking out of the sun/absence of a sun is seen as a "end of times" as it was their main focal point of worship. So her being able to do that goes against both his personal feelings and his peoples' teachings, even though he claims not to follow any god he still remembers what his people taught him and knows that whatever she wants can't be good for the world. Also she's essentially trying to make him into a lapdog and force him to help her colonize his homeland, which if he came from the period of Azteca when the Spaniards and such were enslaving them? I'd hate her too Also also, the reason Olrox can do the dragon thing is tied to being an Aztec, he turns into a feathered serpent which is one of their gods. Not a direct translation but it seems each vampire my get a special thing to them based on their background

Olrox lover was a native American, im gonna assume that when he was turned, he was probably taking out colonist to help his people, Julia just saw a vampire ( although it's possible he was just killing randomly, but vampires seem pretty reasonable when they wanna be ) so she took him out for killing, innocents, while to him he was killing invaders and murders, they were both technically right, in their own minds, so Julia did nothing wrong, but she did also have it coming, blood for blood, now we wait and see if Richter can get his lick back, or sent to live with his mama

I don't think anything is wrong with how Edouard was made. Remember in Castlevania, the night creature, Flyseyes who was capable of speech that had a conversation with Issac. I just feel, like with every other thing/group, there are some that are just different. Started with Flyseyes. Only makes sense, that over time, some more night creatures would be able to think for themselves & remember 🤷🏾‍♂️.

Like, either she's bullshitting them all to some extent with the knowledge of a coming eclipse or there's something more to it, and either way there's no guarantee it's effecting the entire world, like that's not how eclipses work, a total solar eclipse would not be visible across the entire world. Like, I'm not saying it'd be impossible by this world's standards from what we've seen, but to move the moon, the goddamn moon in the sky, in SPACE, thousands of miles away, something's definitely up and Olrox knows it being Aztec, coming from people who studied the stars when most of Europe thought the world was flat.
