Almost angelic in appearance. That’s how I knew Alucard, the first four seasons of him as a… well a kid I guess are pretty funny. But now, I can't wait to see more of him like this in season 2.

The thing I think with Olrox is 1) he's a younger vampire, relatively speaking, so he might be a lot less misanthropic than most of them, 2) he's an Aztec, so he has experience with conquerors with god complexes like Bathory and 3) his dead lover was mentioned to be a supporter of the American Revolution, and the vampire's whole goal is to stop the French Revolution and then come to America to undo theirs. All these added together = not fucking with Erszebet lol

Cool little theory I saw regarding Alucard's hair is that it's white now because he's passed through his normal human lifespan. He was blond before like his mother, but now that he's used up his mortal years he looks more unnatural and ethereal. Super excited to see him pop off next season, and honestly wouldn't be surprised if he could 1v1 Sekhmet. The son of Dracula deserves respect on his name.

Regarding the Abbott's love for Tera, it was definitely genuine, "she who mauls" wouldn't have turned her if it wasn't genuine love. Hence the whole "God has given you a ram" and the Abbott emotionally falling apart at the idea of his beloved being turned instead of a quick death. Hope we see more of his character and what happens with him, don't like him, but he's definitely very interesting.

What I find really cool besides Alucard coming back is that in the first show when Trevor and Sypha find him, they think he's the Sleeping Soldier and is referred to as a messiah of sorts by Sypha. It's cool to have the true "vampire messiah" turn up to take down the false one

If he starved himself again, then he'd definitely still be a match for Erzebeth on his own. Dracula is and always will be top dog in this franchise (until you eventually get to Belmonts who can solo him, but that's another story)

@rexibhazoboa7097 OK, this is gonna be a long one so buckle up kids. I'm mainly talking about the games, but the show is based on them and will follow this aspect of it at least. They're hyping her up a lot bc she NEEDS to be hyped. Previously, we had Dracula and Death as our main villains. Those two don't need to be overly hyped bc of cultural osmosis. It's always assumed that Dracula and Death itself are incredibly powerful regardless of the media (barring satire). Erzebeth doesn't have something that hypes her up by default, so the show has to do it. Now, as for powerscaling. Remember that the Dracula we saw in the previous show had been starving himself for over a year and had grown drastically weaker (Carmilla and Godbrand mention this explicitly). Yet, even while severely weakened, he was still beating Sypha, Trevor, and Alucard. He only dies after allowing Alucard to stake him. Take that into consideration for a moment. Dracula, at his weakest, was only defeated because he allowed it. In terms of power, Erzebeth is still below Dracula, but she would be on par with Death, who was only defeated by Trevor using a magical artifact that was destroyed in the process. So yes, she is being hyped out of necessity and has to come off as equally threatening as Death or else the show won't be as interesting, otherwise the threats will get weaker while the protags get stronger.

Seeing Tera get turned makes you realize why Dracula never turned Lisa. He loved her too much to see her in pain like that. Such gnawing hunger, the pain it must be like. Also, Alucard at the end I'm just picturing him upon seeing the solar eclipse, getting this feeling that something's wrong and the Belmonts are involved, and him just hauling ass across the continent. Also, Mizrak going toe-to-toe as just regular man with a sword, no magic or anything, against vampires, he saw this demon incarnate queen of the undead and was just ready to scrap; he's an honorary Belmont because no other regular human person is that dumb or brave to do something like that.

Keep in mind that Alucard in the previous show was still a teenager. But THIS Alucard has been around for centuries and seeing how his design is a 1 for 1 of his Symphony of The Night official artwork , that means that he's reached the point where he is literally in the top 5 ,arguibly top 3, strongest characters in all of Castlevania. He's basically a walking, talking Deus Ex Machina and I'm not even mad.

Alucard definitely looks closer to how he looked like in Symphony Of The Night, which is partially what this show is loosely based on (the other half being Rondo Of Blood, which is chronologically just before SotN). Personally, I wasn't a fan of how Alucard looked like in the previous animated series, as it deviated from his original looks. But his appearance here really made me super hyped for season 2!
