I love how you always talk about sensitive or taboo topics so responsibly! ♥ I personally love using period blood in my practice, and only rarely prick my finger (but also have no problem with it). For me, the pain and discomfort that I endure every month before bleeding is a greater sacrifice and it's more closely related to the life and death cycle. It's a monthly death, in a way. Period blood plays a central role in my life and not only magically, so it's just natural for me to use it in my personal practice. Working with blood is not new for my but your video gave me a lot of insights on how to use it in new ways. Danke sehr!

You always bring up things no one ever talks about! Thank you for that! Blood magic is honestly so personal that I find it strange when people try to interfere with a strangers working.. It's not for everyone but neither is anything else. It's up to the practitioner to decide what magic is best for themselves and everyone deserves the right to practice in whatever style they want to as long they're not hurting other people or cultures

Love how you’re using your platform to cover taboo topics! QUICK TIP: Whenever you accidentally cut yourself on paper, glass or whatever. Dry it out on a photo frame and scrape it off the glass when dry. It can be stored for ages and lasts longer in oils and alcohol and will not coagulate. You can also mix it with salt for a great protection.

Hi Bente! Thanks for this amazing video! Blood is always a hard topic to deal with and you've done it so well! I only want to testify that menstrual blood has been asked to me by Hel to purify and give strength to the pendulum I use to communicate with her and other deities. Despite Hel being a death Goddess, she asked me specifically for menstrual blood, I don't know if she did that to avoid scaring me or for other reasons, but that's what she asked for!

I find it very interesting how split the magical community is on the topic of blood. I've seen everything from its the most powerful thing you can offer to its worthless as an offering because your body is constantly making more. I've seen that you should 'blood your runes' before using them and I've seen people say that you'll forever ruin your runes if you do that. No middle ground it seems.

Depends on the spell? The blood doesn’t change the spell in itself. If you charge a candle with blood you’d still burn it. If you charge a spell bag with blood you’d still keep it somewhere…

I kind of disagree about period blood not being a good offering as some people can experience huge pain during/around their periods. I think that aknowledging this pain and offering some period blood to deities/spirits/whatever, can be a really meaningful and powerful offering. We can also see it that way : with each period, with every month passing, period-people lose a bit of their fertility, of their youth. It's an opportunity, a chance, that vanished forever to conceive. Yes, potentially, they can conceive later if they wish/are able to, but this particular month, this particular period, the chance is over. It can be seen as a sacrifice IMHO.
@morgana.corvus1 Жыл бұрын
PS : I'm so sorry your strap is trying so hard to escape all video-long... ;)
@TheNorseWitch Жыл бұрын
To me it would only be a sacrifice if the person in question deliberately chooses to not get pregnant that month for the deity/spirit. I for example don’t want to get pregnant either way, so I get my periods every month no matter if I plan an offering or not. It’s not like I choose to get that period and endure the cramps for the deity, if that makes sense. But of course for a person who wants to get pregnant and who decides to, as a sacrifice to the deity, move those plans back in time… for that person it would make a good offering

I have diabetes and have to check bloodsugar levels regularly - in my opinion, that'a a good way to practice blood magick especially for people who don't menstruate like men, younger/older women and so on..
@MyositisMedic Жыл бұрын
I'm still a bit wary about blood magic - mostly because I grew up from a "Christian" background (very loosely but still present) - but I have performed a sort of blood sacrifice to Hel when I moved into my new home. I had cut myself accidentally while moving from our previous home and had the compelling sense to keep the paper towel I used to control the bleeding so I stored it away in a sterilized container. When we got to our new home, I had felt the need to bury the paper towel in the outside altar that presented itself to me as an offering for our family and new home. I still don't know what to think of it but nothing "bad" has happened because of it as a result. It's not something I would be fully comfortable with dabbling in myself without a mentor, for sure.

I was coerced by my ex into doing this in 2022, under the guide of part of our BDSM-style relationship. She made a pink sea salt pentagram encircled by black sea salt, with a pink candle at each point. She carved her last name between my shoulder blades. When we went to the local ER to make sure there were no infections and the doctor asked what happened, she replied "kinky s***"...I thought it was an absolutely hilarious answer but within a couple days after that, our relationship started to sour, due to other emotional abuse. I broke up with her 5 months later and haven't seen her in 3 months. While I won't say I recommend it, I won't say I don't either. Make sure if you decide to go that route, make sure they are "The One".

For years my boyfriend had a jar of his blood in my apartment. The more spiritual I became the weirder that became to me until one day I prayed about it and was directed to throw it away. It was something that was just sitting in the guest room and it really annoyed me as someone who worked in healthcare that he just kept it around for years. He was pissed but to me I felt like it was something he should've discussed with me before just having it lying around. I do believe in magic and blood magic and I don't know why he just kept that sitting around

I don't know enough about magic to say with certainty, but I think what you said makes lot more sense that what I heard from another channel. Their opinion was that period blood is there most powerful for blood magic and it doesn't make any sense to me. So much so, that I don't think it can even be qualified in most or all cases. It's body's waste product, dead blood and you get it naturally, so how would it be a sacrifice from you to the magic? Hey "garbage can" here's some waste for you, now give me something awesome I want! PS. Love your tattoos! Do you have or are you going to make video(s) about viking magic?

I literally said in the video that because of it being vital for us it adds a lot of power to anything it’s used on.
