Being a young witch in high school it is really hard to protect my energy, especially when everyone is so loud, and there is so much stress about tests, I notice myself getting headaches more often when I come home from school. And right now I am sick so I am staying home today and I think I one of the reasons I got sick was just from stress and not protecting my energy, so thank you for these lovely videos! I am a huge fan of your channel. ❤🧙🏻♀️

Your video toward the end reminded me of some very good advice from Lori Bruno - she said to always shower/bathe at night before going to bed, so all the day's energy and ick gets washed down the drain and doesn't carry overnight and into the next morning. I started doing that a couple months ago, and it really does feel a lot better 🤗

Organization tip. The shelving used for toys in here is what we use for our laundry room. Once our kids no longer needed it for toys we put it in there and that’s what we use for socks and underwear sorting. The socks come out of the dryer and get tossed directly into a different bucket for each person (same with undies). We are a family of 6 so it works well. Just thought I’d share. It takes up less space than laundry baskets and when each little bud key is full each person takes it themselves to go put away.

Thank you for this. You're so right: social media is (often) such an energy vampire. It prevents connection, and no body ever sees the other person's point of view. Thank you so much for this, I needed it today.

One of my love languages is “act of service”, which fills my energy. But my wife has become an energy vampire. I love her, but sometimes I send my whole day doing chores for her. Then I feel guilty doing something for myself. Life is complicated. I am the youngest of four. Growing up, I loved being the “helper”. When one of my parents needed help, I was there. Then my siblings would find something fun to do and I was stuck helping mom or dad. My parents seeing this would tell me to go play then I would feel guilty if I went. This habit continued my whole life. Every choice I make I second guess it. Every project I only finish 90% of it. Even when I was looking for a wife. I wanted someone that needed me, but not too much. It might be too late for me, but I can see I might have done better when listening to your videos. Thanks

I hope you find a way to have fun guilt free and enjoy your life! Best of luck to you.

My main one is acts of service too - it can indeed be a tricky one when you don't have strong boundaries with yourself (and others). What we learn when we are young really shapes our thoughts, feelings and behaviours for later life - but we can definitely rewire! It just takes a ton of effort, reflection, shadow work and practice ❤️ Maybe you could try and start small by doing a weekly thing (for an hour or so) that only involves yourself and brings you joy without necessarily being 'useful' to anyone else. As for your wife, open communication (basically exactly what you just wrote here) might be super helpful 🤗 also, if you really want to tackle this issue, the awaken your inner god(dess) workshop might help you take better care of yourself and unlearn the guilt feeling - I will offer a new course in July or September.

@@Thewitchescookery Thank you for you comment. I did not mean to sound overly dramatic, and I certainly don't want to suck energy from you all. I am starting to do things for myself. I started my own You-tube channel, and I have lots of hobbies. But I still there are time when people (mostly family) that ask for my help, and I just want to rest or go do something on my own. I was just trying to say it is a balancing act. One that I am working hard to get better at. Before, I started watching your channel I was much, much worse off. I think I would have a great time at your workshop. Being around like minded people. I just dont know if I can make it happen. I'll have to get back to you on that one.

Thank you so much for posting these sorts of videos! I haven't known where I've stood with Witchcraft for a long time. Half of my family practices, tied to no specific religion or culture, and the other half is strictly religious and against it. I have always been drawn to Witchcraft and reconnecting with nature in general. I've been scared of who I am for so long, and I'm done feeling that way. Thanks to my lovely girlfriend and my recent coming out to my friends as LGBTQ+, I've finally given myself the chance to pick up Withcraft like I've always wanted to. It's been - well, confusing would put it lightly, but fun. Your channel has been one of the biggest factors in the beginning of my journey. You explain things very well, take your time, and have a very comforting/motherly energy. Thank you, truly, for everything you do.

Good to see your face dear one! I worked at a retail pharmacy for 17.5 years. When I stopped working, retired due to disability, it took me 8 months to feel better. It wasn’t the customers, it was the staff. They were an energy sucking bunch. Six months after I was out of there, I stopped by for a visit. The one girl was so toxic, I had a migraine for a week. That was July 2017, haven’t been back since. I’m more protective of my energy now since my empathic nature seems to attract narcissists 🙄🙈

You have a wonderful way of looking at life. 🥰 I have 'procrastinated' watching this video, because I knew I needed it. 😂 Yes, I am guilty of all of the above - except the M. Manson thing of course 😆- I am always feeling like I need to fix everything and inevitably end up taking on way more energy than I should, most of which is not good for me and which leads to overload/burnout. I love Rachel's concept with the cauldron. Thank you Rachel, for the inspiration. It's time for me to refocus, weed out my mental garden, and regain the energy I've been lacking in recent months. Thank you for the uplift Bex, and for bringing me back to reality. Protecting our energy is essential, as it helps us to stay healthy. With everything going on in our world, it's quite easy to lose sight of that. Take care and much love to you and your beautiful family. ❤ 🌱

This video could not be more timely! It's amazing how being broke can really effect your energy. It feels a bit like an eternal purgatory. Can't go anywhere (like the ocean, which is my biggest mental cleanser) because gas is rediculous. Can't do anything, cant create anything because it all costs money. That's the biggest energy sucker I have had problems breaking free from for years. And now I'm a SAHM and feel bad doing any self love rituals because I dont bring in any dough. Ugh! As always your videos motivate me to get out of my head and make it better! Thank you!

That is a big one!! I used to be there in my early twenties and it is the worst 🥴 once you pull yourself out there and see the options you do have to better your situation life gets infinitely more enjoyable (and stressful 😅). And you absolutely do deserve to treat yourself - your job is being a mom and that is suuuuper hard. Even though nobody is paying you directly, your partner's money is just as much yours if you are keeping the humans at home alive and sacrifice a potential career for that ❤️

@@Thewitchescookery Thanks :) Love all the support I always get from this channel. I'm making a smokeless energy cleanser in my mini cauldron tonight and starting fresh.

How exciting!! And definitely pencil it in - with a big, fat, permanent marker pen 😂
