I really didn't like it. It felt mean and kind of rude to do it like that. They figured out what was going on and that should have been the end of it... it felt like the worst use of 'you can break the rules' of atheist.

Seeing Ollie so confused was kind of satisfying, if I’m honest. He was the ST in my first ever game, and he made me the drunk undertaker, so I was confused as hell throughout.

In my first three games (all online with strangers) I was made the Drunk in each. I wonder if that's a natural instinct to do when a story teller is including a new player who's a stranger.

I would say that on an atheist script the ST is a player but during an actual atheist game the ST is not good so the Pacifist wouldn't save them, but during an atheist game the ST can also break the rules so fuck it

Honestly? That was my least favorite use of the ST can break the rules... it's like. 'This game isn't over yet even if the players have decided it's time to end it and win' ... I guess that could just be me.

The Legion-Atheist line up could allow for a game where everyone is either a lunatic or an atheist. Show every "legion" a slightly different good team, some including the atheist/s and some not, and let the chaos commence.

As a somewhat new player I’m slightly confused how good doesnt win when Patters was first executed. He saved himself from dying but the atheist token only says the ST has to be executed.

The Atheist token also says you can break the rules of the game. In general, you shouldn't use the Atheist token to break the Atheist's own rules, but Patters is a very experienced ST and has a good understanding of when it's acceptable to break those rules.

​@@alchemicpink2392 the atheist ability says Good wins if the storyteller is executed, not if the storyteller is killed. Which is what the commenter was just asking about.

I realize this an Atheist game and, therefore, the Storyteller is allowed to break the game rules. But in a normal game of BOTC, the Storyteller is NOT a player. When a Fabled is in play, the Storyteller is effectively assuming the role of the Fabled character. But it still stands that they are the Storyteller, not a Player, and therefore not affected in any way by the Pacifist.

Yeah this honestly felt kinda gross? Like. The game could have, and should have ended right there. The ST is not a player, and the atheist says if the storyteller is EXECUTED, not if they're executed and die.
