A Frankenstein video of the harpsichord part from Blood Roses. I played this like 50 times trying not to miss notes but gave up. I don't have a double manual harpsichord, but I think this is sort of close :-)

This is a damn near perfect cover. I love the harpsichord sound - I wish Tori did more with it.

Could you please make a tutorial on this song please, it's such a beautiful song and you'd be first to make a tutorial on this song I think. :)

Don't worry about missing notes, it was still brilliant. The harpsichord is the only instrument that does this song justice.

Do you ever think you would do a tutorial/lesson on this one bloodroses please? Even if you just showed the first few chords and finger placements would be great. There is nothing out there just sheet music id love just a short videlo of how to play some of the basic parts. Thanks great job

Wow, even Tori Amos can't play this anymore. You are really gifted, you've found almost every single note. A very good job! I'm waiting for more stuff ;-)

Agreed. Tori Amos has no problem playing piano, keyboard, or harpsichord like she "has the devil in her" as she once said way back when. :-)

Wow, very impressive! I have been looking for the appropriate sheets for a long time now and only found lots of simplified ones - but your version just sounds perfect to me! Would you mind giving me a hint? :-) Greetings from Switzerland

Did you play it by ear or with music sheet ?! Cos' I have the music sheet and it seems not to be an accurate transcription of the music, so I gave up trying to play this one, and I'm sad cannot play Blood Roses which is a kick ass to play...

Hum, that's to bad. I saw her back in '07 and she was just as talented to me. She doesn't bring the harpsichord out on stage anymore, but she still rocks the piano just as well in my opinion.
@irishmaestro15 жыл бұрын
It's the shape, actually. Harpsichords are generally long (shaped a bit like a piano) - whereas this is triangular, and it's got what's called a bentside, making it technically a bentside spinet. =)
@JessicaClark15 жыл бұрын
Hey where did your post go? Yea, I'm not a big fan of the keyboard effects either but you don't think she rocks the plain old bosendorfer either? I think she was aiming for the 98/99(?) version.

This is so amazing! I love harpsichord (here in Brazil we call it 'clavicórdio') sound. Thinking on buy a keyboard, the price is much more accessible, and try to reproduce some of Amos work, just for fun, you know...
@16919802 жыл бұрын
The instrument in the video it’s a “spinet”.‘Harpsichord’ is called “cravo” in Portuguese. “clavicordio” is another instrument (clavichord in English)

FANTASTIC (both your playing and the song) I too want an mp3 of this, so much in fact that I spent ages trying to get the video2mp3 to work without much luck. I wish I could buy your performance on Amazon rather that the stuff like Justin Beiber and the rubbish that passes for modern music, but alas...
