Holy gods above and below, what a musical genius she is. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up when the piano section kicked in. She could do a whole album with just one take...

Obsessed with the bridge, with this entire video. She's such a force of emotion. Tumultuous times here and her genius allowed that to escape in the music as therapy and a gift for us. She brings top-notch soul like no other.

Since I found out Tori, the other female singers doesn't seem to me singer anymore, or incomplete in some ways... I always liked Alanis, Dolores... But Tori is absolutely on another planet! She's really a GODDESS.

This is the song that made me fall in love with Tori. No matter how many amazing songs/albums she creates for us to fall in love with, this one will always hold a very special place in my heart because it was my first love. This song opened my eyes and ears to music and is the reason I write music today. Thanks for sharing this video!

shows how much control she has over her tone and voice, i always she just randomly sang and it all fell into place.

There is NO DIFFERENCE in her voice/tempo from the album to this performance. Wow. There's so many nuances to notice here...she could play this in her sleep. At the very least Rock and Roll Hall of Fame...but she may need a new category all her own.

she's tori amos, one of most talented singer/songwriter/pianist on earth...imho!^^ This song is an half accappella version of a single from her amazing album "boys from pele", I warmly advise her first four album: little earthquakes, under the pink, the yet mentionet boys for pele, and from the choirgirl hotel...you'll never regret it, she'll speak to your soul, to pieces of you you can't even know you have...I love her! ^^

I'm so thankful to have seen/heard this performance. It's two versions of the same song fused together as perfectly as only Tori could do it. I love her so much, but it sometimes slips my mind for a short time only to be dramatically reminded by such magnificent displays of artistry. Oh, and BIG THANKS to HEREINMYHEAD for the post! What's truly brilliant about this is how is shows the raw, sheer, naked talent of the artist... no fancy video, no lip-synching.... this is the creative process laid so intensely bare.
