I had false negative blood and urine tests for 4 months. I'm going through that right now! Its so nice to see that someone else has experienced it too because sometimes it makes me wonder if I'm crazy. I started having pregnancy symptoms like morning sickness, aversions to certain smells all of a sudden, period stopped, etc... but all of my tests kept coming back negative. But now I feel movement in my stomach that's pretty hard to mistake for anything else - I have 3 kids so I know the difference between fetal movement and something like gas. And I definitely know what pregnancy feels like. I believe I'm about 15 weeks now, so now that I'm further along I'm going to go back to the doctor and hopefully I'll be taken seriously this time. I have no idea why this pregnancy isn't showing up on tests when it did with my older kids.

I didn’t test positive until I was over 3 months pregnant. I had multiple blood tests and pee type pregnancy tests that all came back negative. I knew when I ovulated and conceived and my period never started. I went to many doctor appointments during that time even my gynecologist who missed the pregnancy just a week before I got the only positive result I have ever gotten. Women who have extreme allergies can have a condition where their body recognizes the hcg hormone and the embryo as allergens and send histamines to attack it which can cause negative test results and miscarriage in many cases. I was one of those women and lost 7 pregnancies because of it. The fertility specialist thinks that the reason I was able to get and make it to term was because I had been taking extremely high doses of medication to get my body to ovulate and have regular cycles. I was on the medication for 3 years and had stopped 4 months before and I was still ovulating and having regular cycles up until I got pregnant in January. I had been going through some very stressful things and needed a break and I think that worked in our favor. I am diabetic and have severe PCOS in addition to the extreme allergies so I see a endocrinologist, an allergist, infertility specialist so we knew that getting pregnant wasn’t going to be easy and even more difficult to prevent a miscarriage. I saw a high risk OB every 2 weeks along with my endocrinologist. At 29 weeks I was put on modified bed rest and twice weekly fetal non stress tests due to developing pre-eclampsia and because I was already dilated to 3.5 cm and we wanted her to stay inside as long as possible though she kept trying to come early. After finally getting that positive test they did an ultrasound that confirmed that I was correct about when I conceived and her due date. Not all women are in tune with their body so they miss subtle clues.
