I would like to add that killing the mobs in the first main room has high chances of dropping the same blood gems given if u have a decent discovery. Each run grants me about 6 to 9 high tier blood gems with about 330 discovery

Thank you for this helpful video, I've been trying to farm 27.2 radial gems as well as triangle gems for 27.2 as the rakuyo has 2 radial slots and 1 triangle I've been trying to make it as powerful as it can be and could not find good triangle gems, awesome editing as well.

Just a quick tip if you are having trouble getting the triangle gems, the lost and uncanny Rakuyo, which obviously have different gem slots are available from the pre-set Lower pthumerian dungeon, it will always be on level four. all the dlc weapon alternatives are available from this bath messenger store actually.

Lorenzo Locchi hey thanks. you have all what is needed, in my video im in a isz root chalice. when you offer 6 sages hair, the dungeon will be cursed. but no need for wasting 6 sages hair everytime you want to join a cursed dungeon. all you need to do is open a depth 5 pthumeru root dungeon wit all 3 additional rites and you can join every glyph as long as you have the root chalice from said dungeon.

yes. i always have played through the chalices first, then opened a pthumeru ihyll root chalice (depth 5) with all rites and were good to go. with all root chalices you then can join any glyph

Since triangle gems can have 27% attack up and circle gems (from your previous videos) only have up to 23% attack up, wouldn't it be better to have a weapon with out circle gems? For example the normal burial blade has 2 stars and 1 circle slot, but the uncanny has 2 stars and 1 triangle slot. For higher attack wouldn't you want the uncanny > normal?

Cami Diago depends on the weapon. i have used physical up %23 and +arcane damage radial on my burial blade because it scals with arcane and has a base arcane stat. (same as blades of mercy) for ludwigs holy blade i think i would use the uncanny one with two radial and one triangle

i managed to get 600ish damage on the bb with arcane and like 570 with pure physical up%. but it really depends on how much luck you have with the quality of the dropped gems. (50 skill, 15 arcane by the way on this build) looking forward to your post, it is an interesting subject

+Michael McCurdy Yes, however these dungeons in particular are noted for their easy layer 1 bosses and quick access to the boss-unlock. You might not be so lucky otherwise.

No prob. You should make your first FRC (Ihyll) if you haven't and then you'll be able to access any dungeon using any altar you have open. I think Painz has a video here and the fextrawiki has a strat for doing that quick.

***** the negative effects are not that bad. i think 23% + without a negative effect is the max you can get. farm depth 5 root chalice dungeons without cursed offering.

ShouTz it’s possibly because you have never made a cursed isz chalice dungeon before, since that one isn’t required to get platinum. once you have made the chalice then all the glyphs become available

@PaiNz _v I dont get it , sometimes the cursed gems give you 10% down on certain enemies....... So the gem is now 17% or sometimes 15%.... Doesnt that make a normal Bloodgem better ( 20% )

+Xxdunc4n yes some give you -KIN or -BEAST. if you want to PvP with the gems it will not affect the -%. (Because the player is not kin or beast) If you want to use the gems in PvP I would aim for 3x stamina reduction (it does not stack)

Ok I am going for a physical dmg holy blade build so am I better off just getting the regular tempering gem which i thinks gives 23% physical dmg, but I do want the 27% physical dmg but it only comes in the cursed one. If I get the cursed ones which one should I get with a negative effect that wont cost me much trouble?

+Daquan Davis The gems you'll want are the ones that give you Physical ATK UP+27.2% with a minor increase in stamina cost as their negative effect. The increase in stamina cost is usually around 3%, and thus makes no actual difference in how many times you can attack/dodge. However, this increase does add up if you have multiple gems equipped with this effect. But the effect is still negligible, and only some weapons will empty your stamina bar enough to make you lose a swing. Seeing as you're using Ludwig's Holy Blade I've tested it out with that weapon using the R1 attacks. The results I got using a character with 40 Endurance are as follows: - 10 swings in long sword mode - 5 swings in great sword mode Now the result while having three gems equipped that give 27.2% physical and 3.3% stamina increase (a total of 9.9% stamina increase) - Still 10 swings in long sword mode - Still 5 swings in great sword mode So there you go. Even with a 9.9% stamina cost increase, you get the same amount of R1 attacks with Ludwig's Holy Blade. There's literally no downside to using those particular gems.

MrDannyDarkside In all my 600+ hours of Bloodborne, I've never come across a Droplet gem that powerful. I don't think they exist. If you want to equip all three gems slots on a weapon with 27.2% gems, you'll have to farm for the specific gem shapes (Radial, Triangular, Waning) If you want 27.2% Radial gems, go to Foetid, Rotted, Cursed Pthumeru Chalices. If you want 27.2% Triangular gems, go to FRC Isz Chalices If you want 27.2% Waning gems, go to FRC Loran Chalices.

+RIQ king softcap for both 25, hardcap 50. softcap means you will get a decent bonus in damage from 25-50 after you pass 50 you will get just a little bonus. so it is bad to level over 50 because you can just put the points in other stats.

+Nattaruth Pollachan You just have to go to one of the Ritual Alters in the Hunters Dream and select "Search by Chalice Glyph". Then you input the glyph you see in the video, which is 5pwujscd. This will open the dungeon for access and will not cost you any ritual materials. However, you must have made at least one dungeon of the same kind with your own materials in order to access a dungeon using a glyph. In this case it is an Isz Root Chalice with Foetid, Rotted and Cursed additional Rites.
