9:27 I scrolled through all the comments to see if this was mentioned, but I didn’t see anyone point this out, so I thought I would share! If you ever pick up a blood vile with 20 in your inventory, a green icon of a chest will appear in the left corner of the text box, confirming you've picked up the item. This indicates that the extra item you picked up was sent to your inventory storage in the Hunter's Dream. The storage chest is to the immediate right of the weapon repair/upgrade station. You can swap items between your current inventory and stored items. This includes all items that have a max carry limit, like silver bullets and oil urns. Check out your inventory chest in the Hunters Dream, and let me know how many blood viles you have! More than one, I bet. 😉

10:00 I think what is often overlooked regarding the Chalice Dungeons that they serve 3 purposes: - extended, optional story - replay value - method to get Blood Echoes while simultaneously progressing in any form and not repeating content per se The last point is probably the most important for me personally and completely nullifies the complain to farm Blood Vials, because you get more than enough in said Chalice dungeons (or even more than enough Blood Echoes to buy more Blood Vials). No one ever mentions this, which is rather odd...
@GameTalesHQ7 ай бұрын
I like them in concept but I don't think they are very fun to play, the levels miss that signature fromsoft touch. I think the framework is there, they just needed more time to polish it up. I still really enjoyed beating all the bosses down there though! About your last point: Well, that's true but if you get stuck before the Blood-Starved Beast you can't enter the chalice dungeons. Plus the way to enter them can be hard to figure out for a first time player.
@vazeyo7 ай бұрын
@@GameTalesHQ Yeah, good point. The level design truly is boring in those dungeons. Still, the combat system itself is so satisfying that it makes up for it in my opinion. ^_^

The idea of promoting a blood-heavy themed game by encouraging blood donations is a genius idea for advertisement; helps the blood banks and get a copy of an awesome game. That’s the sort of advertisement I can actually appreciate; it’s creative and in-theme with the product’s. Just a shame all those donors turned into beasts, however.

"Leave the hunting of Hunters, to me" What a game. Nothing really comes close to my experience with Bloodborne. From the beginning levels, to the end game, tackling the DLC, even going as far as playing the many Chalice Dungeons with a friend just so we have an excuse to play more of this game, even the ones that you dont need to do for the trophies. I have over 300 hours in this game and each time I revisted it, it still felt refreshing. Your video inspired me to play it again. Its been about 2 years since I've played the game. To me bloodborne means so many things, it really is a huge blend of themes and ideas. Throughout the years of videos and posts on social media, I tend to see people say “bloodborne is about ‘X’” and while they usually aren’t wrong they also aren’t right because it’s a culmination of those things all packed densely into the package we know as bloodborne. From Victorian medical practice, to birth, motherhood, religion, the nature of humanity, reality, consciousness, life beyond our world, ancient civilization, origination of life, and the meaning of life. It’s about all of it, and the fact that it’s all within a piece of art of a video game is the best part about it. The craziest part is the majority of people who have played through bloodborne will not have their eyes open to any of it, a perfect reflection of the games philosophy. The deeper the rabbit hole you go, the more you realize you don’t know and I think there’s a beauty to it that no other video game has been able to do. The deeper you get into the lore and the game itself you truly understand why this is Miyazakis favorite game he’s worked on, and in my opinion why it’s their best souls game with the best story, lore, atmosphere, and world building.

No better time than a 10 year anniversary. I'd prefer a remaster that cleans up some of the visuals and texture work and makes it run at a proper 60, simply because I don't want a Remake that changes too much of the original visual design like what happened with the Demon's Souls Remake. A lot of the atmosphere that was in the OG DeS was lost in the Remake, like Tower of Latria

It wasn't until you got almost halfway through the game until you start to encounter the bizarre alien creatures (aside from a few brainsucker enemies in yharnam) and leading up to the game release it just seemed like a gothic horror game about fighting beasts and human enemies. I think people need to comprehend that blood vials and quicksilver bullets are finite because Bloodborne is a horror game. I saw a great video about someone comparing Bloodborne to other survival horror games and brought up that resources are always finite to make you paranoid and fearful about using them. Comparing Bloodborne to dark souls when it comes to the healing mechanic doesn't help because Dark Souls isn't a survival horror game.
@GameTalesHQ3 ай бұрын
Mechanically I wouldn't classify Bloodborne as survival horror. It's still an action rpg at it's core. Definitely a horror game though. Thing is, you're not really making meaningful choices about vials or bullets as you can simply farm them. Thematically it definitely works, in practice it's a bit annoying and overly punishing for new players.

Hello people, I'm very much new to the bloodborne game and as many people when I finished it I became obsessed with it and started to dive deep in to the story and the lore of the the bloodborne universe through Vaati and Smough Town. I am very well read on Lovecraft so I knew some aspects of the game and it made the game even better, but there is a comic book from the 90s which confused me because nobody is talking about it and it kinda looks bloodborne ripped off that comic book by a lot, and that's not to bash on the game or anything, I think this is by far my favorite game of all time but when you see that comic series, from the protagonist to the weapons he uses to the monsters he fights and the setting in which is set it's kinda the same 😅 can somebody elaborate on it I'm very curious because I can't find any information that links these two mediums. The comic series is The Marquis intermezzo and dance macabre. Very long comment, sorry everybody 😅

Wow, I had never heard of this comic. It does bear a striking resemblance, I wish you had told me before I published this video haha! Don't worry fellow hunters, the boss-runbacks are vastly overcriticized here, the Forbidden Woods one isn't even the worst one since he missed a part of the shortcut. There's maybe 2 that can cause problems, Hemwick and Cainhurst because of how enemies function there, most other enemies simply can't keep up or take too long to activate their AI. They're really not bad, boring at most.
@GameTalesHQ7 ай бұрын
With 'punishing,' I was mainly referring to the time it takes to get back to the bosses. I know about the second elevator in the Forbidden Woods, but it doesn’t save much time and feels more tedious. So, I prefer running in a straight line. The Martyr Logarius and The One Reborn runbacks aren’t fun either. None of these are particularly difficult, but if you're struggling with a boss, having to run back for two minutes every time you die isn't the most enjoyable part of the game :)

It would sell just as well or better if they’d do a proper pc port a remaster for ps5. But proven by the helldivers 2 fiasco Sony outright hates their player base and refuses to give us what we want

I do find it sad the only way you can save everyone is by becoming a monster that way you become the master of the dream , thus my true blood born character will become master of the dream to lay those who need it and deserve rest get it , the guilt ,the angry and lost i will allow their souls to rest .

I feel like the cut content came from PlayStation being moved from Japan to California. Another game that came out at a similar time as Bloodborne, Freedom Wars, is, despite being an amazing game, clearly unfinished. The story just ends abrubtly.

They've made a lot of progress with emulating the game on PC! But I feel you, I'd also like a proper release...

@@GameTalesHQ You know, I just thought "yea I know 2 months ago they made the title screen playable for a few seconds, emulation probably needs 2-5 or more years" and then I look at the progress again now and they are almost finished xD Playable, strange lighting fixed, some memory issues fixed, sound is there, even 60 fps seems ok. Every few days a new thing is fixed. That's more like a few months until it's okay to play :D That's a lot faster than I thought!

Actually, both Demon’s Souls and Bloodborne were created by Sony Studios at that time called Japan Studio. Miyazaki has nothing to do with the original idea concepts story etc. he came later and added his unique ideas and directed the game fully. From Software did all the programming from scratch to end. Sony also contributed music and artistic atmospheric elements.

you may call it foolish but I will be buying a new pc with my first pay check so I can finally play this game. Since my old PC cant run shadps4 my reasons for not using a ps4 is, I dont use controllers. I have played Lies of P, Elden Ring, Sekiro, Dark Souls 1, Dark souls 2, Dark Souls 3, and another 3 soulikes with a keyboard and Mouse, and I simply am being a stubborn dog about it. I even bought a ps4 controller so that I could use third party software to map the controller to my mouse and play Demon Souls and the Bloodborne Demake on keyboard and mouse. I have been infected with bloodborne fever these past few weeks and I cant stop watching videos like this, send help.

Hate to break it to ya, Bloodborne is PS4/5 exclusive. There's an effort currently to create a port for PC, but they've only got the first area working (Yarnham) and only one of the bosses. Biggest issue is, Sony will immediately send cease & desist letters of its listed on Steam or online, even for free. They only allowed the demake because fan outrage, it's free, & legally it is transformative enough. If you've played demake & Bloodborne is obvious within minutes they are not the same game.

@@S_raB ah you misread my comment I have zero hope of this game coming to pc sony doesnt like good reputation or money the new pc is to run shadps4 which it does and I havent stop playing now ive beaten every fromsoft souls with mouse and keyboard XD. even if sony takes shadps4 down, the files are permanently in thousands of hard drives. Elden Ring is definitely their magnum opus, not Bloodborne. Amazing game, but just a step to their true most important work I mean you had to use Ace Combat's OST when introducing what you said Bloodborne does better than any other game you've played
@GameTalesHQ7 ай бұрын
I love Elden Ring, but I find myself preferring the more focused experiences that FromSoftware creates, like Bloodborne, Sekiro, and Dark Souls 1. Elden Ring starts off amazing, but by the halfway mark, I got fatigued by the sheer size of the world. I prefer a more curated experience, a semi-open world that allows for better balancing and storytelling. I've 100%ed Elden Ring once and have no desire to revisit it, whereas I can't count how many times I've replayed Dark Souls 1 and Bloodborne. Different strokes for different folks, though-I totally see why you would prefer Elden Ring over the others. Maybe the upcoming DLC will change my mind about the game. Who knows! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
@chrispysaid7 ай бұрын
@@GameTalesHQ I don't think preference plays in as much as you're allowing it to when discussing an artist's great work. Elden Ring is the culmination of Bloodborne, Sekiro, and Dark & Demon Souls and all Miyazaki and his team learned about storytelling, world building, atmosphere setting, and dodge-roll mashing. When looking at an artist's most important work, I feel you have to be more objective than personal preference. Maybe I'm wrong about what makes a magnum opus, but it seems a disservice to regard an (utterly successful) experiment as such.

@@chrispysaid I genuinely think the Souls formula works better in a smaller scope. I never got bored during any of the three games I previously mentioned, yet I took a 2 month break after the first 60 hours of Elden Ring. Yes, Elden Ring has some amazing moments. But as a total package it ranks lower for me. I personally think you aren't being too objective yourself. Yes, Elden ring added some awesome quality of life features like the stakes of Marika and ashes of war but it also introduced: a worsely balanced difficulty, re-used assets (which could've been avoided if they didn't try to make the game this big), even more obtuse npc quest lines, and overall less memorable boss fights (I can only remember maybe 10 of them). Elden ring has some amazing legacy dungeons, build variety, natural exploration, great graphics, solid soundtrack but I can't ignore these flaws. It sits comfortably in the A-tier for me, right next to Dark Souls 1(which is still my subjective favorite, but it is objectively way more flawed).

@@GameTalesHQ I agree 100%. Dark Souls 1 and Bloodborne are much better games. Elden Ring bored me to death in in the last half. Way too much lazy repetition. It's not easy to end a creative project on a high note, be it games, books, movies, etc.

@@tomas60952 Elden Ring certainly has a lot of quality of life improvements but I didn't find it memorable at all. I don't think the Soulsborne formula works all that well in an open world setting.
