And… honestly, this one in particular hit me hard. A friend of mine, an older lass, was in a similar situation; an abusive boyfriend who was cruel when drunk, and dismissive when sober. She didn’t have a washer in her apartment, so every Saturday (I think it’s Saturday), she went to the local laundromat. While she waited, she crocheted. A young lady went there too, a pregnant lady that went to a nearby college. The two began talking, and my friend even made her a baby blanket. The woman is named Beth, I call her Bets, and when she realized my friend was being abused, she actually began stashing money for her. When my friend found out, she was so touched, and… the two fell for each other. Eventually, one night, my friend packed up her bags and stashed them in her laundry. The two drove away that night, and never looked back. They’re still together, and even have a baby girl now, named Jenny, as well as Bets’ son Ace (cause Bets liked playing cards, hence her nickname). At least, that’s what my friend told me, and I’m not gonna disbelieve her.

She said I was allowed to share her story, as long as I didn’t use actual names. And I still visit her, I met her at my sociology course. She’s taking classes cause she loves learning, and thanks to her lawyer job, she can afford to learn as much as she can, and fills out her house’s library with her textbooks, there’s a lot, and those she didn’t get for class, she buys from the students for more than they’re worth. She’s a legend on campus, known as the Librarian Marian. Ace loves the books, and spends hours reading them and drawing in the margins. He’s a talented man, I’m so excited to see what he does with his art, he’s like a monk illuminating manuscripts. Bets is in an engineering tech job, she’s so intelligent, it’s almost scary. My friend still crochets, she even made a stuffed toy for my nephew, a little dinosaur named Wrecks, cause he has little tank treads for feet. Bets gave my nephew a little toy computer, that makes different noises and sounds when you push the buttons. It’s to encourage him how to learn letters, since they make the sounds of letters but in a little singing voice. I’ve known them for like, two years now, and they’re what made my first two years of college so lovely. I’m gonna make Jenny a little toy, maybe a Cthulhu, since she likes my Cthulhu statue I keep on my desk. A chibi one, of course. :)

Here's my confusion with the game. I understand that the killer survived from the fire and everything but where does her supernatural powers come in? She's stronger than the average woman, she's able to cut off lights, and despite surviving a fire, being shot up by the protagonist, and cut open by the mortician...she still managed to survive and get away at the end. I need that to be explained, unless there's possibly going to be a part 2 on this story. The Puppet Combo universe is wild lol.

I feel like there is for sure some type of supernatural or occult element to the blood wash story. There is a giant pentagram in the final shootout area, and that entire segment in the old laundromat is a much larger area than the physical space that building occupies on the outside.

I would guess it’s a sort of rage/overkill. The women are alive and so are their babies, which is what angers her. They have what she does not, and she wants them to die for that. She doesn’t get *her* baby, so they never get theirs.

I think it depends. There are really good stories that can be told via film but it’s so overwhelmingly over saturated that it’s hard to find the gems in the garbage, not to mention that shareholders end up making all the decisions instead of artists who could do a good job with it. This isn’t really the case with video-games (at least not yet) there’s still a lot of room for independent artists and small groups with a vision to put forward an idea rather than being beholden to some business men telling them what’s gonna sell and what isn’t.

So neat thing. Was looking at the tv tropes for the game and a post game epilogue shows a few things. One Sara with the help of Stan the neighbor dumbs her lazy boyfriend and stays with Stan’s sister till she can get her own place. Wow, a story about a struggling mother-to-be who actually WANTS to have her baby? That's a nice change. I'm so used to modern media being like "Just get an abortion" Sorry for the semi-political rant, I know that's not the point of the game, I just think a lot of people nowadays don't realize that it's normal to want a baby, and seeing a story where the female protagonist actually wants her baby is a breath of fresh air.
