I took a sip of my dad's bloody mary at a Black Angus restaurant in Everett WA. when I was 12. My dad said I probably wouldn't like it, I was hooked for life. 46 years later its still my favorite drink.

I tried Bloody Mary for the first time two years ago when I was in Turkey and it's basically a cocktail from heaven. Of course, you gotta use the right Vodka (Grey Goose as an example or Belvedere.. definitely not Absolut) but it's good. and whenever you make it at home, don't forget Tabasco.
@johndgt3 жыл бұрын
"you gotta use the right Vodka (Grey Goose as an example or Belvedere.. definitely not Absolut)" being russian and having a long experience in drinking in general and in particular drinking vodka as well, i assure you that vodka is just pure spirit with water and that's all, there are minor differences between different types and it mostly depends on spirit but most vodkas are the same. i can hardly imagine vodka that isn't good for all kind of recipes. i guess the only rule is that vodka shouldn't make a hangover next morning with moderate consumption, for me it's about 200-250 ml of vodka over the drinking session.
@mobilemixers47715 жыл бұрын
the "W" sauce is a surprising ingredient that's the first time I have heard of that!

Omg Worcestershire sauce is amazing if you put a little dash on top of your cheese on toast, while it's still sizzling under the grill! 🤤🤤 damnn... I'm hungry now 😅
@Jaska80005 жыл бұрын
Best to shake it a little with a spoon or the cellery stick, otherwise all the worchester and tabasco will be in top of the bloody drink. Otherwise cool style, I don't use any black pepper or cellery salt myself, tomato juice I use has some salt already added in factory. But it is a matter of taste, can't argue. About hangover: Maybe it is one of the best drinks you can have to cure hangover but also if you consume these in the evening the next morning won't be as bad as well.
@fastfaps5 жыл бұрын
Jaska8000 I’ve found that the best method to make a Bloody Mary is to prepare ingredients in cocktail shaker but don’t shake. Instead single strain and roll the drink between each cup. It helps to smooth the drink as tomato juice can be quite thick. Doing this makes it way more pleasant to drink
