I'm a 53 year old man. As a genXer one of the few things I embrace from the later generations is beginning the process of normalizing the open expression of emotions of men. Us fossils were brought up thinking that the only emotion it's ok for men to express publicly is anger and maybe happiness. I don't think anyone should have to apologize for having empathy and shedding some tears when sad. Those tears show that, at least in some small way, you are a good man. Those tears show your honor. I love dogs/cats but am allergic and so can't have them so this particular song didn't hit me as hard. If I am watching "Hi Ren" by Ren, "Hurt" by Johnny Cash or "Wrong Side of Heaven" by Five Finger Death Punch among others then the waterworks start even though I have seen all these videos at least a hundred times, granted no one is watching me so it is easier to be open emotionally. As a side note, if you have not seen those videos check them out even if you don't want to film the reactions.

I first saw this song right after i had to put to sleep my 15 y.o cat. It was so cathartic and healing, I'm so grateful for this band as a whole for their integrity and sincerity in their music and actions.

I hate cats (I say that without conviction), even though a few cats came into my life through my wife who already had cats, and I just say that because I don't want to admit that those little selfish bastards are getting to me. I'm a dog person, but apparently cats will force you to become a cat person as well. I'm not happy about it.

I knew this song before I had to guide my cats over the rainbow bridge. Still this song was with me all the way and has founds its way on my skin together with my cats.

Saw this song 4 days after I had to put my 1st dog down. This song broke me so hard. It's been a huge part of my healing from his loss. I'll miss you for the rest of my life, Orion. Orion is the reason i fell in love with dogs. He's the reason i started rescuing handicapped dogs. Because of him, my 4 handicaps have a home. Ill never stop no matter how much each loss hurts.

@@TRMReacts62812 I found it on a support page for dog loss. It's been almost a month now, I still cry almost every day, but this song has helped so much and gave me the idea for a sanctuary my wife and I will open when we have the financial resources. It'll be called Orion's Heart. It will be for the " unwanted, imperfect" animals. They'll have a home, love and safety for whatever their natural lives are.

Bloodywood are not only amazingly talented but just wonderful people too. So many great messages in their music. Animals and pets are truly special. And like you said, pet lovers keep doing it over and over. Even though we suffer so much pain when they leave us we get more. And give more love. And get love in return.

I can’t watch this video any more. I watched it a bunch early on, but one random viewing sent me over there edge. Made me an emotional mess. Now it happens each and every time. These guys are fucking amazing. Their sincerity makes these songs hit so much harder. I want to see them live, but if they play Yaad I’ll probably lose it right then and there.

There are times, even with the song being out for a while now, that I get hit with such visceral emotion whenever it comes on. I’ll be driving home and I hear the first few notes and next thing I know I’m trying to get the tears out of my eyes so I can see the road. Bloodywood has gotten me through a lot of really bad times in my life.

@mattscfc8496 ай бұрын
Doesn’t matter whether it’s a cat or a dog, or any pet as a matter of fact. When it comes to saying goodbye, it’s as hard as saying goodbye to a human relative or friend. I’ve had anxiety and depression for around 6 years now, if it wasn’t for my cats I wouldn’t be here. They sense when I feel down, so they’ll curl up with me in bed, when I’m sad. Not just sleeping at the bottom of the bed, but they’ll purr and come lay down right next to my pillow, and they make sure they’re tail is on me.

I love how they undercut the darkness of the story with a fun behind the scenes, helps create levity, after all the crying
