in the solo variant you mentioned in your video that the highest number for a die you would get is a four... are you sure that that's the highest number on the die or is that the highest number for completing all of a given color. Rules say color and not die. ???

"Color" is the same thing as "die" in this game. You have only one die of each color, so when you choose a die in the solo game, the number is at most 4, even if it shows something higher. -WEM

How is yahtzee not the first roll and write? You don't share dice, but that is trivial in my opinion.

The simultaneous play by all or the sharing of common elements by all seem to be defining features of roll-and-write games. -WEM
