Hey there. I’ve heard you talk about why you started painting a couple of times now and both times it’s reminded me of my self so much. Today you said “…My jump off point to start this was depression, it’s kinda sad but true…” I just wanted to tell you that there is nothing sad from finding your passion, especially when the trigger came out of your hardships. It’s actually one of the most beautiful things in the world. Instead of wallowing and drowning inside yourself, you found something that not only lights a fire in yourself but also inside others. That is one of the most amazing things I have ever heard. I hope to one day be brave enough to post my art publicly. Several acrylic pouring you tubers, including yourself, have inspired me in so many ways. I hope that I can find the courage, so that maybe I can inspire someone too. You’re paintings are amazing, your kindness and positively are too. -LAS

I have a very similar story of how I got started as well. It's amazing how therapeutic paint pouring is for sure! I lost my daughter, tragically in 2019. While in bed for 5 months, I watched a video on KZbin and then went down the rabbit hole of paint pouring videos. Here I am almost 3 years later and am now teaching paint pour classes. 💛

Excellent video, thank you. And thanks for the tip about sealing. It didn't occur to me to use Liquitex's gloss gel in a wash before applying the resin top coat. I am always getting edge rejection even when I keep my oily fingers off the tile. Also thanks for the wait/cure time of acrylic paint. I'm always thinking it's 5 days but 7-10 makes more sense. Bless.

These are beautiful. Why don't you have to prepare the tiles like you do the canvases? Secondly, why don't you have to torch the air bubbles like on the canvases? Or do you?
@melissaphillis72473 жыл бұрын
You usually tape the back of the tiles, or use liquid latex. And as for bubbles, any paints are mixed way beforehand so all bubbles should have dissipated.
@raukurawaihaha3 жыл бұрын
Have you ever tried getting a bunch of circle canvases, roughly the size of the lazy Susan and dipping them in between pours? Might be able to save some of those dope designs and color by filling in the middle of a canvas after you dip it?
@raukurawaihaha3 жыл бұрын
Or maybe put a round canvas UNDER the tile bro? Then fill in the middle with a balloon flower or something.

I enjoy your videos so much and can identify with how you began. So happy for you! I have a resin problem question. I just resined (word?) my first painting. It was a silicone one and I cleaned the heck out of it, but there is a spot where the resin did not "take". I'm not sure what to do, try cleaning that spot again and put a second coat of resin or just mark it up to a lesson learned? I actually did put a barrier coat on, I had watched Olga Soby's video. Meanwhile I love these tiles and the bloom technique! One of these days I will try it! Gotta get out of pre-school first :D Thanks again!
@JMoPainting3 жыл бұрын
That has happened to me too! I hate resin and silicone haha. I have tried doing a second thicker coat of resin over it after a little more cleaning and I have also tried applying a barrier coat over the problem area the pouring resin again. They both worked for me and I hope they will help you as well! Thank you so much for the compliment to my artwork, I look forward to hearing from you in the future!

These are all great! I was wondering what do you use for black base/pillow house paint. When you do all your great tutorials you talk about what to get as far as white house paint, but what do you do for black? Do you color it yourself somehow? Or buy a black house paint?
