The train derailment in the small, tight-knit community of East Palestine, Ohio, was just the beginning. Chemicals leaked into soil and creeks, a “controlled burn” spewed toxic chemicals across the landscape and residents were left looking for answers. Months later, questions still remain. We spoke to residents, experts, government officials and the train company to find out exactly what happened and how this small town can recover.

All of the regulations that politicians want to get rid of are exactly why this happened. Safety regulations cost corporations money. The same corporations who are lobbying politicians for less regulations.🤔

“Rather than support safety regulations to improve rail safety, Norfolk Southern and other rail companies spent millions of dollars in the courts and lobbying members of Congress to oppose common-sense safety regulations, stopping some entirely and reducing the scope of others. The four largest U.S. railroads and their trade association together spent over $480 million on federal lobbying over the last two decades. Norfolk Southern actually spent the least of the top railroads, shelling out $69 million over that period. Norfolk Southern and other railroads successfully lobbied Republicans in Congress to pass a measure delaying the implementation of electronically controlled pneumatic (ECP) brakes. The Trump administration rescinded the rule in 2018, echoing the industry’s concerns that the costs to implement ECP brakes outweighed the benefits. An Associated Press report found that the Trump administration omitted up to $117 million in future damages from train derailments in its analysis. “This means if the rule had gone into effect, this train wouldn’t have had ECP brakes. Railroads cut down on their workforce by around 30 percent over the last six years in an effort to boost profits and attract investors. It’s worked financial wonders for Norfolk Southern, which made a record $4.8-billion profit last year and shelled out $3.4 billion on stock buybacks. “Railroads largely self-regulate and PSR has led to irresponsible practices at the cost of safety,” It needs to be eliminated or reformed.

Blaming the President or leader is not going to help. The entire world is owned by the Rothschilds who created the world's system that always revolves around money. This secret family is so rich that they can sustainably clothe, feed and shelter every person who have ever lived (if they want to). And the mainstream media is forbidden to talk about this ultra-elite family. Money rules, not the presidents.

Watched the whole docu (and knew of it the day it happened). What I don't get is why no one in EP even suggests demanding Norfolk Southern (or any railcompany for that matter) passing through their town to present cargo papers before they pass through. If I was Major there, I would demand knowledge (and the right to check) on any cargo coming through BEFORE they are there. I know we Germans overdo it on many occasions (beaurocracy), but this couldn't happen in .DE.

And btw: calling overheating/burning undercarriage (seen the vidcaps) the cause of it all seems slightly off center for the derailment of what looks to be most of the haul. It's fishy to the extent of 'Planned'. I'd look into who profits most from this ENVIRONMENTAL DISASTER, and connect links to CLIMATISTS and GLOBALISTS.
