Only someone who is not familiar with their actual family line and the human family would think his adaptation is contemporary when the entire human race is related. He actually gets it.

William Morris??? The man was an elitist whose work supported colonialism. I think Mr. Shonibare needs to delve more into Morris’ history.

This series is so cliche and programmatic. A kind of intellectual light of art. No real thinking. Just platitudes and recycled ideas that have been going around the art world for 30 years. Do something different. Step up to the plate.

The only thing don’t like about is that the many headless manikins. One can’t help but be reminded of ISIS beheading rage and does it becomes the fashion too?

What a weird place to go 🤔. Doesn't seem like you get the work. Interesting that you didn't think of the French guillotine or the British history of punishment punishment by beheading. I wonder why? Maybe don't be so easily lead by the aggressive narrative of outlets like Fox News.
