The Tesla Cybertruck explosion in Las Vegas at the Trump Hotel should cause an uptick in Cybertruck sales since it demonstrated how stout and string the Cybertruck's body and EV battery pack are. The EV battery pack did not go into thermal runaway, in spite of the raging fire in the pickup bed. Nor did the truck body deform from the explosion and subsequent fire in the pickup bed.

Yep! There would have been a secondary fire with any ICE vehicle as the fuel lines and gas tank went up in flames. Per the NTSB, EVs are something like seventy times less likely to catch fire than traditional gas and diesel vehicles. And, that is changing with the new lithium ion phosphate and sodium ion battery chemistries which are over a thousand times less likely than early lithium cobalt battery chemistries to catch fire.
