Third Stimulus Checks: When and How Will You Get $1,400?

The U.S. Congress is slated to approve the third round of direct stimulus payments in less than a year, meaning that most Americans can expect another cash infusion in the coming weeks.
Individuals who earn as much as $75,000, or couples making $150,000, plus their children or adult dependents, qualify for the full $1,400 per person. Single parents with at least one dependent who earn $112,500 or less also get the full amount.
Families in which some members have different citizenship and immigration classifications are also eligible for a payment, if at least one person has a Social Security number. The payments phase out much more quickly than in previous rounds:
An individual with income of $80,000, or a couple with $160,000, get nothing. That’s the result of a last-minute compromise to maintain the support of moderate Democrats who wanted to more narrowly target the money.
The IRS hasn’t yet announced a timeline for releasing the payments.
In the two previous rounds, the agency first sent direct deposit payments to those for whom it had bank account information on file, then mailed paper checks or pre-loaded debit cards to everybody else. In round one, last March, it took the IRS about two weeks to process the payments.
In round two, in December, it took just a few days once the bill was signed into law.

Unfortunately, because they dispersed the money so unevenly in the beginning, most people that had real jobs or careers that were making upwards of $50,000/year are now using the money on bills that are behind. The people that were making minimum wage, were literally able to go shopping and buy new cars. I know a girl that was fired from a comic book shop that literally bought a new cash car, since after the pandemic she was making about 4-5X as much on unemployment, than what she was making at her job. The money should have been dispersed based on how much you were making at your job, so that if people who were making a six figure income only took a small hit and the people in lower middle class hardly took a hit, and people that were in the lowest bracket stayed at the same level as well. Most people who were making minimum wage were already drawing government benefits to survive, so it simply wasn't fair to pay them nearly the same salary as a person who had a $40-$50,000 job was making, prior to the pandemic; as there bills wouldn't have been nearly as much. This is all insane in my book! Considering that it's been noted that most Americans live paycheck to paycheck, no matter what tax bracket they fall into, our government should have had the wherewithal to provide people with adequate benefits at least %70 of their prior income. At that rate, people would have been able to keep up with bills; and maybe only cut back on eating out, bars, shopping, etc. Just my thoughts. Sorry for the long rant!

I don't understand the income threshold. A single person earning $75000 gets a check? Really? I think that should be adjusted depending on where you live. $75k isn't much in San Francisco, but it's a king's ransom in Mississippi or Louisiana. People living in places like that making $75k don't need, or deserve a $1400 check. And a couple making $150k need and extra $2800? If you are struggling making $150k, than you need to stop doing drugs. And OMG, the whole kid thing. What a scam. This is why people have 6,7,8 kids or more. Ridiculous. Well if you never received the other ones before this one... The only way to get those you'll have to file taxes for this year. You can either mail it in but it could take awhile,. Along while because IRS is still backed up from last year taxes. Secondary is to do them online! The IRS website offers free online filing if you make less than 75k a year! Regardless if you have anything to file, you still have to do the 1040 form and go to line 30! That's a must! The information is on their website I also was told by the IRS that live help is available for you from a person to assist you if you go that route! Either way? You need to file by filling in your basic information and go to line 30. Line 30 asks you if you received the stimulus and if not? How much didn't you receive. I.e 1200 and 600. Answer accordingly to those add them up and carry your total per the instructions. Also if you want to mail them in most public libraries have the forms and some have free tax help! Finally that's the only way you'll receive the past two stimulus checks! Now in regards to this one? Their suppose to go back the information already in the IRS database of tax filers. So if you've never filed then they may have the original tool available for you to input the information with your information on the IRS website when or if they'll do it! Not quite sure yet! But two KZbinrs who offer the best information about all things stimulus is MEET KEVIN channel and SHALAE MORGAN channel!! Subscribe to both and you'll always be up to date! Straight to the point!
