Whenever someone mentions "Middle Class with sustainable income" it would be great if they can clarify what's the income bracket these middle class fall in. What percentage of Indian population does this growing middle class belong to?

Without security why banks give loans in the first place. This is a credit discipline problem.
@FXT1302 күн бұрын
Because banks charge astronomical interest rate on those loans. It is most profitable business.

@SureshMenon-c9x2 күн бұрын
@@sarthakmohanty734 Ya, Madamji did not approve these loans, but she has financially restricted the the common people from earning money and repaying these unsecured loans, which they were compelled to take.

Most of the management personnel in Banking and NBFC sectors are interested in their personal achievements rather than the interests of the organisation. The targets are fixed without taking into consideration the ground realities. The lacunae in the issue of credit cards and easy conversion to EMIs and too many players in the microfinance sector is leading to the present problem. Added to this the availability of loans in the unorganised sector at a higher abnormal rate of interest is adding fuel to the fire.

the credit scores which were boons will become banes now in this phase.. they will force credit approval teams not to allow credit further hampering banks' P&L..

Good amount of loan has gone in stock market in the form of margin trading, speculative portion. Lesser portion could be in assets - real estate, business shares, stock holdings, etc.. Now since the rules seriously affecting the market participation are in play, the spiraling effect has started. This is our own sub prime crisis..!

In a country like India with avg GDP Per capita of 2 lakhs, who would have thought giving out loans worth 1.5 lakhs for a brand new iphone, to the roadside panipuri seller, so that he can make instagram reels during his free time, would blow up in the face of the banks!! Not me!!! 😂😂😂

Investors need to watch out, We have RBI that did great job, we have FM that I don't need to say as 7 in 10 are unemployed, and Currency is depreciating. We have Gabbar tax that Dont create jobs other than MGREY which is good but waste of tax as material is spent but wasted due to poor workmanship, G Media compares China and India which EU and US is shy because they China is 25 22:39 yrs ahead of combined USA & EU combined might. But India is not shy to import everything that NSE & Bse 150-1500 promoters buy 80% from China add value in India by 10% and yet cannot sell to Indians at price that Indians can pay for. In nut shell cost of product 25% to 50% higher than China and at par with USA and Europe. Even oil rich Saudi Qatar UAE Oman pay less than Indians

Banks punish those borrowers who are good with payments, and the ones who default on consumer loans and unsecured loans are essentially walking away with freebies.

Banks r handling public money and why not establish a sealing on unsecured loan not exceeding ₹20K. Secondly for secured loan it must not exceed 50% of back up assets. Thirdly British era law must change to protect depositors money. For ex if banks like SBI ICICI Axis and HDFC goes bust world economy would doubt even RBI and INDIA as a Nation if can pay back FII’s investment and imports
