Regardless of their personal reasons, the reason WOTC even does an early access thing is so viewers can get a better sense of what's new, hype the set, etc.. Even if you didn't personally find the new set interesting you're doing your viewers a disservice and giving WOTC reasons to stop inviting you.

18:15. I’m sure powrdragon meant to tap the caves for colored mana to activate the fountainport but he trusted the auto tapper. As a result, the caves was tapped for colorless meaning he hadn’t both gained and lost life that turn so he didn’t get the bat from convocation he needed to have enough blockers. Edit: watched his stream. And seems he completely missed he could do that. Unfortunate.

This is extremely close to what I have been planning on building after rotation, and PowrDragn's list was my other starting point after seeing someone else that actually had the cards. I'm sure it'll change from what you have, and become more optimized like the current lifegain lists with more 2 or 3-ofs, as the meta settles. And I can't wait to test out stuff like Zoraline and Augur, because even the smaller amount of graveyard recursion in the current versions of Amalia create some really interesting plays and interactions to stop the deck from feeling stale.

Been playing bats standard since BB released. It's my favorite deck overall though BO1 you need more removal than I'd like due to monored everywhere, deep cavern doesn't nearly cut it. Notable additions are sonar strike, fell, zoraline. Sonar is a bit weak since it's likely post pump or punishing next turn a la sorcery, but the lifegain means value. I like the 1/4 activation land with life gain for when your opponent has mass removal. Essence Channeler is the real powerhouse of this deck. Starseer mentor is okay, but not if you run auger. It is quite fun on the synergy but if you draw poorly there's little fixing available unless you use something like your Amalia... which I don't have.

I stopped playing arena a few months ago because it felt like my opponent would either lose without putting up a fight, or get EXACTLY what they needed 6 or 7 draws off the top. Glad too see that hanst changed and it's still a miserable experience

You should've tried a few of those new village lands from bloomurrow as well. The downside is basically nonexistent in this deck and with the amount of bats you have they could really provide some additional value from time to time.

He missed more than a few lines of victory and either gave his opponent an extra turn or spent time casting spells that amounted to needless overkill. It happens, but it's frustrating to see the opponent already dead on board if he just played a single card from hand but chooses instead to play 2-3 other cards first.

Im confused.. at around 45 minutes, couldn't you have played the lunar card, and then swung with all flyers for 3, then equaling 4 from the lifegain the bat had making the opponent lose?

It kinda makes sense if you want to revisit a pet project that stands an actual chance in the powered-down circumstances of content creators experiementing with new deck styles in addition to post-rotation cardpool but 'WB killstuff planeswalkers' with zero new cards is just such a boring deck that it feels it's fairly inexcusable.
