Same goes for restore balance and profane tutor, yet they still qualify as 0 cost CMC for cascade and other checks. Lack of a listed mana value simply means the cost is 0, but inaccessible by normal means@@LazarusIsBackBaby

Had the thought halfway through the video, Any could've created a copy of any sac outlet with Ooooooo out on the battlefield to instantly assemble Exodia. I'm dead from laughing too hard at this episode. Absolutely loved it.

The funniest thing about the Exodia play is that it wouldn't have won from having all the pieces, he'd need to attack with it. Exodia is only an isnta-win if all five pieces are in the hand, not on the field lmao

My thought was create 5 “tap: untap target creature” cards on the first turn or technically just 4 because after the 4th untap u could create a piece of exodia and next turn create the other 4 pieces

Even if exodia pieces were in his hand it wouldn't do anything, exodia's effect says you win the duel and a game of magic isn't a duel, you may however challenge someone to a duel and win it instantly

He could have started with Pemmin’s Aura, used a blue to untap any, then cast Black Lotus repeatedly, making infinite mana, at which point he can untap infinitely, at which point you can win any number of ways, the first I think of is Lab Man and repeated Wheels of Fortune to deck everyone out and win

I was thinking about leyline of the guildpact in this.... [If] Leyline of the Guildpact [is in your opening hand, you] may begin the game [with it] on the battlefield. Each [nonland] permanent [you control] is [all colors.] Land[s] you control [are every basic] land [type] in addition to their other types. Or rather: Leyline of the Guildpact may begin the game on the battlefield. Each permanent is Land you control in addition to their other types. Fair and balanced card :)

39:12 For those that are curious, mtg does actually have a rule about sorceries entering the battlefield! "307.4. Sorceries can’t enter the battlefield. If a sorcery would enter the battlefield, it remains in its previous zone instead." I have no idea why this was needed in the rules, but it's there lol

Flickering a manifested sorcery would make it enter the battlefield but because it can't enter it remains exiled. Source: I'm a disgusting Kadena morph player and have tried everything possible with manifests/morphs

I gave birth a few days ago, to a beautiful baby boy, named Dameon, he’s perfectly healthy, and is super beautiful, while I recover from the birth, I’ve been consuming the Olympics (I love basketball) and need culture, just been consuming anything magic the gathering. I love the win condition of assembling Exodia with any, especially because it doesn't work the original intended way (Exodia needs to be in your _hand_ to win), but still works anyways because they're YuGiOh cards so they just have crazy stats for Magic

Idea: Each player makes a certain number of sharpie cards, and tries to make them a little more fair and coherent (but still a bit chaotic and funny, obviously, because that's the point of the format) and then you do an actual cube draft with them, so players can find combos and synergies, and to discourage people from putting "win the game" cards in (because someone else might end up with the card instead). Players could even set up certain nonsense archetypes for them to draft, but at the risk of someone else ending up with the commander they were going to use.

Takes me back to my first times playing, 7th Edition/Invasion block period. Just vibing with friends having no idea what the cards did but as long as it made sense to us it was all good.
