Hello to the knitting tree and Annette. Just to let you know i have just finished my 5th Frieda jacket using your brilliant tutorials and I have promoted your you tubes to anyone and everyone who shows an interest. Thanks so much for these helpful videos. I just finished my first wearable crochet project, started it last year but the pattern confused the heck out of me. Picked it back up when I found your tutorials...thanks for making it understandable :)

Thanks for videos. Katies’ instructions were complicated.... british info with US. I just rewrote it. Her intro to each round were unnecessarily complicated. It is just a basic granny six sided square.. as per instructions, I ended up making a pentagon instead of six sided. Aaaaaatgh. The diagram listed on page 6 is not on the instructions. But you can find it on her Hex Mex jacket. Anyway, using Mexican Omega La Espiga nylon no. 18 thread, so piece is heavy almost like an armature and wearing it at the Kahlo exhibit in Albuquerque next month.

Comment below is in regard to overall pattern. Thanks for these videos. The main jacket is actually very easy...literally make 2 giant granny 6-sided squares. There are only 3 types of rows: 1. DCs with 2 DCs space chain, 2. DCs with 1DC space chain, and 3. HDRs with 2 HDR in the space chain. Why is there 7 pages of instructions? Then a handful of straight lines to put together and give it an edging. Same with this flower pocket. Thanks for “simplification” translation. Note: on the second pocket, I used previous or future yarn to make the intermediate under structure of the petals. On Row 8 and 9 I did not change color as it is hidden by the back-tracking petal of row 10.
