I apologize for being rude but from no angle this seems to be a islamic wedding except for the nikah ceremony. This is more like Indian/Pakistani cultural wedding. We as Muslims should try to remain in the boundries that are shown to us by our prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

there are various discourses on the matter no one way is the best way however on saying that, in Islam, the smaller the wedding i.e just a nikkah then the the more Baraka in the wedding but Alhamdulillah this brother and sister had many praying for them may Allah (SWT) grant them baraka and shifa in everything they do Ameen

It is nice to see the other side of this culture, all I ever get to see is what the american media shows. Are the markings on her fingers and feet paint?

Asalaam alaikum, there is no harm in following your culture as long as it doesnt contradict Islam. Best wishes to the bride and groom.

What's that thing the groom is wearing on his face/head? Isn't that a hindu thing?
@xoMiSsBxo12 жыл бұрын
OK I'm Muslim but some things here...I don't get. Why was the groom's face covered? And was there some sort of significance to the pink turbans? I've been to plenty of Muslim weddings in different cultures and I know with South Asians, it's usually the groom alone who wears one...
@Avatarlover8512 жыл бұрын
@TwilightChick13 This reflects more the way South Asian weddings are overall, than specifically Muslim. For example, Muslims from the Middle East and Indonesia would not have a wedding like this unless they just like the style and wanted to do it for themselves. And technically anyone could do that, regardless of faith.

thats more of a hindu tradition that has been mixed into aisian culture i think :-) as a muslim you can wear any colour theres somthing about the colour green however im not sure what... i think it was the prophets fave colour or somthing :) x

actually, it was a muslim wedding...just cos the guys are wearing turbans, don't mean they are indian....

it is prefered to be a simple affair as their is more Baraka in this however it does not state in any authentic text that a nikha should strictly be a simple affair

Sister 21Muslimah... Is it not unislamic to judge so openly?. I think it is fair to say that you do not know what is in the peoples hearts?...Maybe kind advise should be given instead of public critisism.. May we all be guided to the straight path. Ameen. Your sister in Islam...
