I've tested this a while ago and I've been using recursives like that since. 024 is definitely better for most situations with alch, though 204 *can* deal more damage on maps where bloons can pass through recursives more than once. This is similar to 402 and 420 boomerangs. 402 has more damage on it's own, but 420 has more dps with alch.

Actually due to the increased attack speed buff alch also gives, I believe a 402 alch buffed does do better than a 420 alch buffed

I always think the middle path for recursive is better since it attack faster and i love fast attacking tower (rip my computer) Also i would recommend some maim moab to replace jones's lv 3 so new player won't have to be look out for the dangerous moment and don't have to grind for icicle impale if they don't have it

I did some testing, looks like two 0-2-4 Recursives can no longer solo rounds 76 and 78 on harder maps. However, MOAB damage is still the same as before and against super cerams there shouldn't be a huge difference. Meaning if you use spiked balls the strategy should still work.

Two alched 0-2-4s still destroy ceramic rush rounds in spite of the nerf, which isn't very noticeable in CHIMPS in general.

I would also recommend sauda into PoD. start with sauda into necro and get a 1-3-0 spike factory for round 40. then simply wait till you can afford the PoD and then you basically can afk till the 80s. can upgrade the spike factory or get any other tier 5 tower because PoD is probably one of the best tier 5 towers for chimps. late game chimps (80s and beyond) is where the game gets harsh. you could of course straight up get permabrew on sauda and the PoD (not recommended) but the best tier 5 support that makes most of lategame a joke (and lets you afk MORE) is bottom path ice monkey. slows down moab class bloons by I believe 66% while being cheap enough to afford other support towers. for round 100 on maps with water middle path sub is great. bottom path tack is also amazing if placed on a bend. middle path spike factory is also a really cheap way if used correctly. apache prime is a viable enough second tier 5 to aim for to survive till the 90s. easiest 2TC I can think of is PoD+WoP but that actually requires using the ability correctly.

2nd boii, mostly I used 024 bomb shooters when I first started the game but saw potential in 204 but the main problem of this upgrade(004) is that black Bloons are immune to them but this update makes them more of a necessity in chimps/half cash/impoppable

It's super good. They've added Dartling, Boss Bloons, Races, a butt-load of new maps, great balance changes, the whole nine yards. I'd definitely recommend you pick it back up.

Well 025 Bomb with Alch Buff, 420 Village, Striker Jones, Overclock, Alch 031, and 025 Permaspike with Alch buff and 200 Village is enough for late game.

Just recently did a bomb only challenge, (impopable) the results? Victory! How? Well.. there was a recent bomb buff, if any upgrade is crosspathed with frag bombs, it can pop blacks, (yes, the bombs themselves, not just the frags) and this carry's over to cluster bombs, recursive cluster, and bomb blitz. Got bomb blitz before ZOMGs showed up, got Bloon crush before DDTs showed up, and finally got MOAB Eliminator before the BAD showed up. I did have to use road spikes.. but if you get "pre game prep" it's probably still possible.

BTD 6 will still last a really long time. We're at the peak of content and NK still has a lot left in this game that it will probably still run with a lot of frequent updates in the next 2-3 years even after btd battles 2. And even then they're still updating btd 5 so btd 6 isn't going anywhere even if they release a btd 7. It just means less updates

204 is much much stronger because instead of getting an alchemist which buffs a relatively weak tower for lategame you can get another recursive which boosts the DPS of 2 204 recursives above an 024 being alch buffed
