Woah, this isn't Mega Man.
I figured I'd record my C.H.I.M.P.S. clears on any map I manage to do them on as I'm currently playing this game a lot on the side.
C.H.I.M.P.S. is the hardest difficulty in BTD6. The abbreviation stands for "No Continues, Hearts Lost, Income, Monkey Knowledge, Powers, or Selling."
That is:
You may not freely retry rounds at the cost of Monkey Money*
You may not leak a single bloon
It is impossible to gain any extra income. Farms don't exist, active abilities that generate money cannot be used. Villages cannot be upgraded to x-x-3/x-x-4/x-x-5, x-x-3 / x-x-4 Alchemists don't generate money.
Monkey Knowledge (an extra skill point tree that enhances Towers) is completely disabled
Powers, items you can use to wipe the screen or help in other ways, or place pre-upgraded Monkeys for free, are unusable
No Towers can be sold. Once something is placed, it'll be there forever.
*In C.H.I.M.P.S. specifically, it is possible to freely retry rounds at no cost. However, doing so will give you a red medal on the map select screen and a golden border for the stage. If the mode is cleared without needing to retry, you instead gain a black medal and a black border, the highest form of clearing a map.
Quiet Street is the currently 7th Intermediate Map of the game and consists of two entrances for bloons, going around a large circle and then each going out the opposite end.
The start is a bit tight here since the track is fairly straight with no overlaps and a normal Boomerang start doesn't usually cut it. Even with a 0-0-0 Dart I still leaked Bloons a ton of times.
Naturally, screen-wide towers such as Aces work best here. I knew from the start I wanted to go for a 2-0-4 Ace, but I needed a 4-0-2 Ace first for some cheaper earlygame protection until I could afford that.
Thankfully, once set up properly, a top-path Boomerang and bottom Path Dart do hold things off pretty well, with an additional bottom Path Heli for MOAB protection.
For the endgame, since a 2-0-5 Ace is unreasonable to afford, the top path Ace goes Tier 5 instead. Sky Shredder is still excellent damage, especially when supported by a 2-3-0 Village and 4-2-0 Alchemist. And the rest of the money goes to a 5-0-2 Boomerang for cleanup.
Merry Christmas!
