Ukraine is all set to receive F-16 jets from United States within weeks. UK Daily Evening Standard, citing high-ranking military source, claimed that aircraft were due to be supplied to Kyiv either by June or July. However, it didn’t report which nation would supposedly deliver jets or the number of jets that Ukraine would receive.

Ukraine never at any point received enough weapons to make up 5% of what Russia has. 2.5 years in they still haven't received jets. They receive a total of 321 customer model 40 year old down armored scrap tanks 2 years after they asked for them. Ukraine has destroyed 7000 Russian tanks.

Russia has a couple jet fighters that are comparable to the F-16: the MiG-35 and Su-35s. So it comes down to pilot training and experience as well as the use of AWACS (which the Ukrainians don’t have). It would be interesting to see these aircraft flying against each other. Then, again, every time Ukraine gets a new weapon system from NATO, it’s always hailed as a “game changer” that would turn the tide of the war. So far, none of them have done much for Ukraine.

It certainly won't be by the Russian air force given how incapable they are of doing anything. By the way dogfights are a thing of the past except in the minds of Russians who don't have proper stand off weapons. NATO weapons can shoot down Russian planes like 100 miles before the Russians can even fire one back. By the wa7y those Abrams were 40 year old down armored customer models dug out of the scrap yard and still lasted several times longer than Russia's brand new tanks did on the battlefield. No one will ever buy weapons from Russia ever again.

It's the A/B Version with one up grade from the original. They can be upgraded but I don't see any country spending the money to do it since they are worn out per their owners. These countries were planing to scrap them!

The Abrams tank is over 40m years old, Still the US refused to send US models and sent 40m year old down armored customer models dug out of the scrapyard. Still those scrap models lasted several times longer on the battlefield than Russia's newest tanks. Of the abrams tanks that were destroyed over 80% were from friendly fire. The only sent a few dozen Russia lost thousands of tanks in the meantime. also the crews inside Abrams tanks survived unlike Russian tank crews that were launched into space. The US refused to send their models because they didn't want Russia to possibly capture one and learn how to build a tank that isn't garbage.

The F16 wasn't in Vietnam. Russian air defenses are incapable of shooting down anything unless you count Russian air force jets. Russia is quite good at shooting down their own jets. The Ukrainians destroyed 3 s-400s in Crimea like 2 weeks ago. Of course Putin announced the S500 2 days later. Enough time for a different color of paint to dry on a S400 which he now claims are new and improved. If it shot down anything that wasn't Russian it would be better than the S400
