Thanks for your comments. It is a fact that Economic reality makes its impact in policy formulation. Therefore,the rise in inflation results in increased DA. Similarly the rate of interest prevailing at a remote point of time cannot be the basis for recovery of commutation amount. It is a fact that the repayment of government advances is subject to interest rates determined by the government, taking into account current market interest rates. Being so the Government ought to consider suo moto the issue and revise the rules accordingly.. Atleast the Courts should have ordered for the review of rules and outcome within 6 months.

There was no case as retirees voluntarily opted for commutation fully aware of the terms.

Very unfortunate. Even if the commutation is voluntary, we cannot put forth a demand in the initial stage to the government to reduce the commutation period. It is clear cut exploitation of helpless pensioners.

Sir, TA BILL sumbission within in 60 days. If TA Bill submitted to HO on 60th day and next day Sunday. Whether TA bill is acceptable or not. Plz clarify.

But why has the fact that the Government has eeduced the interest rates? Though it is voluntary,our option is based only on the then ruling interest rates. If the Govt can arbitrarily decide to cut its interest rates,they should also let us revise our options midway! Justice must also be seem to jave delivered. Judiciary blindly goes with the ruling dispensation,whoever they may be! It is only the staff who are always on the receiving end. So many arbitration awards too are pending! Helpless govt.employees!
