"4-Way Diablo" is an album I will always be very attached to because it's the first Monster Magnet album I bought when it was released. Not all of the songs on the album work for me, but this is one of my favourites on 4WD. I like how it's both one of MM's darkest albums and also one of their mellowest, with this particular song capturing that duality very well.

@bidefordrfc he likes to write in code using sci fi/fantasy metaphors to make personal songs sound more interesting and so no one knows who hes singing about. hes been quoted as saying that several times but its not like he told me personally

this is one of the things that make Monster Magnet unique for me, add Dave's weird sense of humour to the equation and you get lyrics that do not resemble anyone else's

There was an interview I read where he said he's always wanted to be fat and he did it and it was cool and he's good and fine as f*** again really I've never seen anybody hold on to their childhood essence like him he's really one of the most unique entities on this Earth
