Blowing line through conduit with a leaf blower.

Using a grocery sack, string, and a battery powered leaf blower to blow string through a 215 feet long conduit run underground.

Watched this last night, liked the idea better than sucking it with a shop vac due to my situation. Did exactly as you demonstrated for a 100' run of 1.5" PVC and it worked like a charm. Just AWESOME! THANK YOU!!!

Great idea I have a 1 inch conduit and my snake won’t pull through so I’ll try to string first one suggestion is get a chest harness to hold your phone. They’re not very expensive and it sure does make things a lot easier. I appreciate your video. Thank you.

It may be difficult to get enough volume of air into a 1" conduit. Alternate, use a shop vac to pull the bag and string through.

You should of used 2.5” schedule 40 conduit with 36” gradual sweeps on both ends! That must of been an extremely frustrating and difficult wire pull…., Leaf blower is a brilliant idea though….

I do the same thing with little portable shop vac on reverse. The nice thing about the shop vac is you can take your spool of pull string and put it on a little carriage inside of the shop vac. Then I pulling the string out the tube and then tie a small piece of styrofoam to the end of the string. Drop the piece of foam into the conduit hold a seal round the source end of the conduit while turning on the shopvac and boom out pops the foam on the other side. Power it off, open it up, cut the string. Done.

Are you saying to literally put the jetline inside the vacuum and run it out the blower end of the shop vac? That works? If that does, that's pure genius bro.

@@markmywords5342 That would be neat and it just might work but that’s not what I did. The string entered the pipe between the pipe and leaf blower. I just left a short distance between the pipe and leaf blower.

You can also use the shop vac to such the bag through instead of blowing. I should have mentioned that in the vid.

Did you filet your conduit before placement? It makes the pulling easier and reduces chance of cutting cable and snags.

Thank you! I searched the internet trying to make sense of what he meant. I did not file the conduit but instead was diligent to make sure all female ends pointed the same direction and then pulled the wire such that the wire passed male to female. In that way, filing ends isn't necessary.
