Blown Alcohol Fuel System tutorial with Randy Anderson

Randy Anderson of shows us the steps of properly setting up and flowing a blown alcohol fuel system. Steps include disassembling and checking the fuel pump, pressure checking the pump on the flow bench, and flowing the entire system on the flow bench. He also explains the difference in flow on different types of nozzles and bypass jets. Anderson is a former NHRA Top Alcohol Funny Car Champion and has set up fuel systems for numerous Top Alcohol and Pro Mod champions and record setters over the years.

this was interesting as im a student in drag racing as i loved to learn on these fuel systems as far i knew how i do the care of these fuel systems in nitro nostalgia funny cars as thiswas really does interests me thisas really good learning for me now in as a student in drag racing as i had to learn fast on these fuel systems as i feel thiswas a good video for me in future hope to learn more in future

How do you go about narrowing the housing? Grinding? Lapping table?

Flush it with what fluid? Gasoline? I've seen two different videos now saying to flush. Can we get a video of the flush itself.

Depending on your application. If you run a class that has fuel check and requires pure methanol, then the silicone pump lube is recommended. Just take the main fuel line off, open the fuel shutoff and pour some down in the pump. If you don't have to worry about fuel check, marvel's mystery oil, wd 40 or any light weight lubricant will work. Also need to get some in the barrel valve spool. When sitting for long periods of time, all lines need to be completely drained.

In this particular application, no. Best option is to lube for short breaks in racing, and for long term breaks lube and drain completely.
