99p,well worth it. I also add onions and Mushrooms to pre-made curry sauces which compliments and bulks out the Curries. One tip (as i`m used to cooking for one) if you`ve got loads of sauce cook enough curries for 2 portions(your only using energy/fuel once then to cook) then you can eat one, freeze one or put the spare in the fridge to marinate and have it 2-3 days later giving you a tasty, easy night.

Mushrooms in a curry? That’s a new one on me 🤔🤔. However, cooking is all about cooking what you like to eat. Having thought about mushrooms in the curry, maybe not for me. But I have come up with a couple of sides I might try. One like a sort of Bombay mushrooms. The second being mushroom and mint mixed with yogurt. It just might work.

I have been using this brand od curry sauces for a couple of years, but never vindaloo or madras. This hrand is excellent - better than any others that I have tried including Pataks and Sharwood. My favourite is Murgh Makani. The Saag (spinach ) is also very good.

The curry sauces in jars (with additional curry powder stored in the lids) from Aldi/Lidl are good as well. Like others do, I pad it out with onions and some garlic, plus a tin of chopped tomatoes. Usually makes about 4 portions (with the added chicken).....eat one, store the other three in the freezer!

A couple of tips for you bud , if you like the sauce put it in a sauce pan with raw chicken , use thigh filets (more flavour and cheaper) cover it put it on a low/medium heat and cook for around 25 minutes stirring occasionally, add as much chicken as the sauce will handle, curry reheated the day after is always better as it has time to take on the flavour, also it’s fine to freeze, if there’s any left lol 😂 and also you definitely need naan bread with it 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻

if you got a little time sometimes it's nice to add a small amount of diced onion garlic ginger and fry in oil before adding chicken and sauce and then maybe add half a tomato and a fresh chilli for flavour. remove seeds if you want to reduce the spice level. finish with a touch of coriander. of course this is all optional

Great video once again, love watching these! Just a note on MSG - a lot of the time MSG appears alongside ingredients that are also very high in saturated fats, salt, sugar etc, so it can be very easy for people to blame the “foreign” ingredient. But ultimately its in moderation. To be honest we’ve all ingested so many microplastics at this point, not sure why people are so bothered about a bit of extra flavour on a rare occasion 😂

couple of things when we do a sauce like this and we want more heat we ad cayenne pepper, also we like to cook it the evening before and leave it in the fridge so the flavors can soak into the chicken more, all these sauces are great once you "fine tune" them to your liking, but the overnight things always works for us

If ya like a good curry, try Patak's madras paste, don't buy the sauce.. Marinate ya chicken, lamb or beef using a teaspoon or so (use a fork to prick ya chicken or meat prior). So a hot pan or wok some oil, add ya meat, then some onions and some peppers not long after some fresh chilli, .. Get some tomatoes or passata in the pan, it'll create ya sauce and another heaped teaspoon of the paste, diced pineapple works a treat also, use some of pineapple juice if ya like. Have a mitt full of fresh coriander, this is critical and chop it up and throw in 5 mins before you're ready to serve.. The paste does about 10 curries or so, works out quite cheap in the long run..

If you buy the 50-70p bags of coriander and prick the bag and place in the freezer. Then when ready for a dish crush the bag with your hands it'll snap and break down the coriander foe sprinkling, it instantly defrosts when shake it on the curry ---- so simple ---- and you've always got some

I use paste, don't know why but the ready made sauces are so bland even when I sprinkle my freshly made 10 spice garam masala and everything else I can find in the cupboard into it. I fry the onion first until golden and caramelised before adding paste and meat, sometimes I fry some mustard and cumin seed in the oil before adding onion. I sprinkle a quarter of a teaspoon of my garam masala 5 minutes before it's finished

Potatoes in a vindaloo is a myth - due to aloo being the Indian name for potato. The dish originates from the Portuguese who originally called it carne vinha d'alhos, which basically means meat marinated in wine and garlic. I do admit to liking boiled potatoes in a vindaloo though, so there's that. 😂🌶🌶🌶🌶😈

@@CjpacmanThat is a old trick to revive stale bread, you don’t soak the bread, just briefly run it under the water, though I would never microwave any bread,I put mine in the toaster oven.Microwaves toughen up bread, and bread like products.

Got this from my local Home Bargains a good while ago and ended up adding my own onions as the onions in this are all blended in the sauce. I would certainly get these again.

Hi Gareth i don't usually do hot but I'd take your word for that, there's unfortunately no homebargins near me but I'm not too sure if aldi don't do something similar. Good value i didn't see the point in the flat breads if you weren't going too try them on camera. But it is what it is i suppose..do you do your training in you're garage, you never know you may be given a cross trainer too review that would give you a good work out.quite a few youtube vloggers i know have been given a couple of electric bikes to keep for a review you could film yourself going too the shops . I'll look for that surprising Iceland poll.i always tick&I'm already a subscriber.

That looks great. For 99p! I used to use the Kohinoor brand sauces which were £1.25 (more now I'm pretty sure) and they are excellent. Aldi and Lidl both do similar sauces in jars with the spice mix in a compartment on the lid. They used to be 99p but are more now. They're great too. Over the past few years these "instant" style sauces have really improved. So much so that every time I go to our local curry house and they ask "how was your meal?" and I reply fantastic they come back with "excellent, we get our sauces from Lidl". They are of course joking, I think. The restaurant mentioned is called Ten Dining Street in Oakham Rutland. I'm giving them a shout because like L'Oreal, they're worth it. On a tangent what knives are you using? Looks similar to a set I picked up at an auction for a few quid, Prestige is the brand but they look very much like Sabatier.

Brilliant vid showing how to make quick easy and delicious meal. Very few vids like this on YT. I buy these at Home Bargains, I tried Karahi and Bhuna so far, I also cook British Indian from scratch at home and I have to say this brand, these sauces are hands down the best pre-made curry sauces I tried in the UK so far. They really do have top chefs working in-house to make these recipes and their quality control must be superb, This is nothing like a Patak's curry sauce (which are pretty poor imitations in my opinion) Absolutely recommend it. By the way a packet is more like 2 good portions or 3 small portions. Not quite 3-4 as suggested.

They are good if on a budget as is but i always doctor them up adding extra onion grated ginger and chilli flakes to taste. A good base to start a curry though.

Ideal for a quick meal with leftover meat, very aromatic with a spicy yet fruity flavour. Only critism, not as hot as other Vindaloos. Tried other sauces in their range, never disappointed. Add some chunky sliced onions and Chestnut mushrooms to give extra texture and bulk it out.
