Hi Gareth, looks great! Top tip for thawing things a bit quicker without adding heat ... Pop the items on a metal tray ... makes quite a big difference to thawing time. Also ... Great to see you tackling that sandwich au naturel without polluting the bacon with any kind of sauce like some kind of savage (unless you did that off camera - naughty!)

I went to a supermarket and ask for a £10 top up voucher for three when the young lad repeated my request back to me I said "no I want to pay for it" He then laughed and said what I thought was bad joke only to discover much later dad joke was what he said after other people have said the same thing about my sence of humour. So glad you have recovered from you injuries a while ago, I was worried about you!

There's farm shops all over the place. Well worth finding one. I get all my meat and fish from the butcher or the farm shop now. I used to think it was expensive, the prices in the super markets have equalised that now. The butchers and farm shop frequently have special offers on as wel. The quality of the produce is in a different league in comparison. Not a single bit gets left on the plate or thrown in the bin. Well worth it.

Bacon in your area is amazing. Ioften stay in Lowick and there is an amazing butchers in Grennod. Bacon available in Lomdon is cr** p in comparison.

Such products from small local suppliers are nearly always top quality, even if they cost more. You did the bacon just right in the air fryer.

Been curing my own for some years now,dry cure, smoked no problem,never buy bacon now.

I go to a local butchers here in Preston, Adrian Livesey. His meat is excellent. A little more expensive, but the quality more than makes up for it. There is nothing like a real butcher for bacon, sausages, steaks...I get all my meat products from there. I've just finished off some steak and kidney from this butcher. Lovely stuff! :)

You should have put the sealed pack in the kitchen sink with warm water, l do it and defrosts quite quickly. Or in the microwave on defrost for 5 minutes. Give it a try next time. All the best from a hot Cape Town, well it is summer here 🎉🎉
