Blown Motor on the Subaru Legacy GT (Part 1)

I paid 1700 for a 2008 5spd GT last summer with rod knock. 121k on the odometer and in great cosmetic shape for a New England car. Just dropped in an EJ20X, as this will be my daily.

I have a 2005 legacy GT. I've had it since it had 25,000 miles. It now has 134,000 miles. When I did the timing belt at 100,000 miles, it was also off by one tooth. My tensioner was fine, and the car always ran perfectly. I thought it was odd and wondered if they installed it one tooth off at the factory. I never seen that on any other car before and thought it was quite strange.

I just bought a 09 Spec B with a blown motor for $3k.
