I love how a majority of the riffs are from the Three Imaginary Boys/Boys Don’t Cry Era. Even though the Album is pretty much a black sheep in the Cure’s discography it contained so much energy and potential. It’s criminally underrated

I love how your focus was on their early songs, which is where I think many of their best riffs come from. You even nailed the flanging on the "Primary" riff like a boss! Sounds just like the record! The Cure had an outtake from the Three Imaginary Boys sessions called "Play with Me" which has a deliciously fun riff for a song that apparently wasn't considered good enough for the final album. Even their songs which didn't make the cut had nice riffs...

You should check out the live version of the title track (Disintegration) from the Wembley show they played in '89. It has so much more energy than the album version and Porl Thompson's syncopated rhythm guitar adds so much to the track. Robert's vocals are incredible especially as the song hits its emotional peak, he puts his whole soul into it.
