That version of VINTAGE is the ultimate CRUSH OFF !! THE THICK CRUNCHY PART AT THE END COULD LAST FOREVER ON A LAST SONG ON THE SET SCENARIO. And the bass arrangements, chromatic approaches, your voice, and the way you rhythmically step off the mic and BASS DRIVE your songs is second to none. I head bang to this badassed song. It's PERFECT. You rock that FENDER like nothing I've ever seen and I'm a die hard FLEA, GEEZER BUTLER, Geddy Lee, and Cliff Burton IDOLIZER from way back. I honestly think I could get behind any instrument ...drums, six stringer, keyboards, or even a microphone and instantly produce some rocking ass material that would make the session not want to stop. I love playing any type of music and I'm kinda like you I can't stay still enough playing live for a photographer to get a decent pic. I love the Cosmic Jade on this bass. It is a tough decision between this and the Tequila Sunrise color. I would buy both but only can have one. I am almost certain I will go with the Cosmic Jade, it's really beautiful.

Son went to college and left his Fender Squier so I picked it up yesterday and plugged it in to mess around. I'm a banjo player so my left hand is in open revolt, but I think it will be fun. Never touched a bass until now. Went to Guitar Center for a new cable and a tuning fork just to learn that method. GC had this exact bass for $1100, I was surprised how inexpensive a pro level bass is. But I'm gonna make myself earn it 👍.

ha! i used to think i knew how to play bass ( 50 years ago ) - so, retired now, time on my hands, bought a used Fender bass and a REALLY cool vintage bass amp … i was ready to Rock & Roll … then I learned I had forgotten everything I knew when I was younger … ‘so much younger than today’ … so, now I just listen and enjoy … very enjoyable … ty Blue DeTiger … ty Fender … those were the days my friend

To all the haters out there, we can say yeah, she probably has never heard of the Ox or James Jameson or any of the long dead bass players from the past but we we don’t know that for sure. Besides, it really doesn’t really matter, she’s doing her own thing and she’s going places enough for Fender to recognize her talent. I myself a 53-year-old bass player in a 60s tribute rock band will never be heard by anybody but the people standing out in front of the stage. Us older folks gripe a lot how the youth of today have no interest in guitars or anything that takes time to learn. Here you have a beautiful young woman who definitely can play and probably will have a long career in front of her regardless of what genre she ends up in. Also note that most music these days is basically been created and marketed to 13-year-old girls who are the majority of the paying audience. We can continue to listen to our decades old music and the pioneers who created it, but we need to encourage young people to keep at it while they perfect their craft because someday they will be the ones taking over for us when we are gone. Btw, I wish that color was out when I bought my PJ elite. I’ve been waiting 7 months for my mystic surf green American pro2 J to be delivered.
