i remember seeing Radar Men On The Moon as a child. My father loved those old serials and they would show up on weekend television during non sports times. That box set looks pretty darn good! As always, have a wonderful week!

Another great K Day ...them serials were i am guessing Saturday morning pictures ....was very cheap cinema was always packed....it bought back to me how they depicted Wray guns can see in my minds eye.....I don't remember man in a suitcase my partner does.....I do remember dangerman tho.... thanx Alan ....av a great week mate take care 👍

I went to the latest Talking Pictures TV festival on the weekend and I really enjoyed it as usual. I found that Kenneth Cope was originally supposed to be at the show, but as you’ll know there is a sad reason as to why he couldn’t be there. The show was still great fun though despite the loss of Kenneth Cope.

Totally overspent at the moment but *Ghost* is one I'd love to have; I think if it reaches my Chritmas list my wife might get it for me as I think she'd like to watch too. Nice looking anime releases, at the usual high prices, but luckily not ones I'm regularly buying or really draw me in. Pleasantly surprised to see they've released *Nightsleeper* on physical as I was concerned it would be streaming only (at least for a while) - I keep being told of the plot holes but also it's so nicely paced you can suspend disbelief enough! Yes, Season 1 or 2 on BD then a 'whole Series' BD box but none of the other Seasons separately is so annoying; like they're deliberately saying "Yes, look, we've made the discs for all the seasons and they're right here... but you can't get them all separately if you started buying them that way, you'll have to double dip *identical* discs to get the whole thing" I will probably pick up *Barb Wire* though it's really not good 😉, Did you know it's supposed to be a near future 'remake' on *Casablanca* ? I do and I still can't see it; maybe both need a rewatch 🤣 Don't know why but *American Pie* has never appealed; who knows, I might like it if I did but I have plenty to watch without buying things I don't think I'll like to pay out... maybe I'll try to catch it on TV sometime and give it a fair trial. My *African Queen* will definitely get an upgrade to 4K but, similarly to *Ghost* I can wait for that one with the amount of releases I'm desperate not to miss that are coming out and still being announced. Oh, an anime I may grab; I wonder what 'sexual abusive behaviour' the BBFC are worried about now... I've just watched one where there was enough 'sexual threat' to make one episode a 15 by a character undoing the top button of the tied up female protagonist and threatened that 'your lover will never want you after you're ravaged'... I can see they have to be careful with sex threats and what's acceptable but it is a bit "villain with black moustache being twirled threatens totake a lady's honour as she's fully clothed but bound with lots of rope" from the 40s... sometimes the ratings are totally fair as the content is relatively adult but sometimes I wonder if the BBFC over-react since "kids will be watching cartoons" As an aside, on my recent HMV visit I heard two (about 15 yo) actually take an anime title to the counter and ask whether the store had it on Blu-ray as they could only find the DVD copy; so good to see the younger generation appreciating and willing to pay not only for physical media over streaming but also pay more for better picture/audio quality. That has to be a good thing for physical media whether you're personally an anime fan or not. Oh, is that the reason for the XXX in *Maxxine* ... I thought it was because she's an adult film star and thus starring in XXX movies... I guess it's both. Thaks for the recommended watch order; I waited for this one being released before starting and didn't know if chronological worked better or release order. Oh, I love those box sets... so called because they're *IN A BOX* ... sorry I shout at my TV every time a streaming service advertises they have a boxset meaning they have a complete series of movies or TV. If _Imprint_ material wasn't so costly to import ( _understandably_ from Australia, especially, of course, but _frustratingly_ ) I'd be buying so much of it. It would be so good to update my _Network_ DVD set of *Man in a Suitcase* (under £20 in 2009) but £90ish (and I don't know if VAT will get added on arrival _potentially_ making it nearly £115 by the time the Post Office have slammed another £8 for paying it for you... like they sent a guy on a pushbike to the Customs office with a cheque and they had to pay him extra!) I'm not usually a disaster movie fan, though my wife is, so I thought we'd give *Twisters* a go whilst we were on leave last week... I _thoroughly_ enjoyed it despite some rather predictable plot lines (what do you need in a disaster movie? 'spy thriller twists?), as did she so I'm intending to track down *Twister* now and see if I think people prefer it because of nostalgia or if there are aspects that give it the edge. Hi Justin, Ghost is an absolutely lovely film, it get me every single time😢plus it has the beautiful Demi Moore in it 😍 I picked up Nightsleeper myself, it’s not bad at all 🤔 the releasing of seasons and then halting to release an entire box set really annoys me 🤬 you should be able to get a refund from the movie studios when they do that…. I’ve never heard that about Barb Wire before…. Now I’m intrigued and want to see it 😮 I don’t mind the first American Pie was didn’t bother with the multiple sequels 🧐 I think the sexual abusive behaviour is that one of the anime characters is treated like a dog (a leash and collar) but not sure about anything else. Ooh that warms the cockles of my heart to hear that the younger generation are interested in not only physical media but the picture quality too 👌 I’m not 100% on the XXX in the title Justine, I was making an assumption, your hypothesis is as valid as mine 🧐 I have to order a couple of box sets from Imprint for a Christmas present, I’ve done it a few times (when I’ve missed out on early releases) and yeah it’s annoying that the post office want their pound of flesh as well 🤑 I loved the Twister films but the first does nudge ahead but it’s probably down to nostalgia as it reminds me of my first trip to Florida and the movie experience (theme park attraction) they had there.
