🤣🤣🤣 100 isn't so bad if you take advantage of some Black Friday deals. I'm glad you enjoyed the collection video. I thought it was going to be very boring because this is technically the overflow section. Hi Stephanie. Great collection and video. Jessi and I love Away We Go, such a good film! Every time I watch collection videos, I realize just how many films I need to get 🤣Fun fact about Canadian Bacon, I am friends with the actor who plays the Russian President in the film who I met when I lived in NYC in the late 1980s - really nice guy. The film is good too. Dog Day Afternoon is one of my favorite Sidney Lumet films, rewatched again this past summer and it really holds up after all these years. It's always an issue for me. 🤣🤣 You'll like the unhaul one better, it's more what we need to do. I didn't know that fun fact about Canadian Bacon but now I'll be watching through different eyes. I've never seen it but I've heard it's good. It just went under the radar somehow. Dog Day Afternoon, right?? What can we say that hasn't been said? It's such a classic from Sydney Lumet. A Monster Calls, Apocalypto, Blue Bayou & Blindspotting are all amazing! Bad Words is hilarious. The Boy In The Striped Pajamas 😢. I need to give Baraka a watch. Found it at a library sale earlier this year & remembered your recommendation. Babyteeth was one that grew on me the further I got into it. Fantastic! I just stumbled upon Chaplin at the thrift store. Excited to check it out. Coach Carter is one of my fave basketball flicks & SLJ performance. Crazy Rich Asians I didn't expect to enjoy as much as I did. Everyone should watch Dope. So fun! Great collection. Added a few to my list.

Farscape 25th Anniversary collection just came out on Blu-Ray. It collects all 4 seasons of the cult sci-fi TV series and mini-series The Peacekeeper Wars to finish off the show. If you are a big fan of Guardians Of The Galaxy movies Farscape is the original.

Nice collection! Yeah, Dead Man's Shoes is a brilliant revenge movie... I loved it! I also liked Enemy. It's based on a novel, The Duplicate Human, by the Portuguese Nobel laureate José Saramago.

2 recommendations: Alice's Restaurant (1969) based on the Arlo Guthrie song "Alice's Restaurant Massacree" a comedic tale of a young man arrested for dumping trash illegally hurting his chances of being drafted to the Vietnam War, it was released by Olive Films and usually goes for around $20 used; the other is Dark Angel (I Come In Peace) (1990) a sci-fi action movie about a detective investigating drug overdose deaths and discovers an alien conspiracy, goes for around $10.

Comic Strip Presents - is worth it for the Famous Five skits which for antone who grew up with Enyd Blyton's famous Five will just be a blast. Also second one - Five go mad on Mescaline total classic of British 80s altenative/new wave humour. Another one in there is laugh out loud the Strike! - Possibly my favourite comedy of the last 40 years!

If you were brought up with Enyd Blyton's books as a youngster you will get the Famous Five episodes - Five go mad in Dorset, and Five go mad on Mescaline. If not try to do some research into EB's famous five books. As far as the rest of the comic strip box set is concerned there are good funny episodes all the way through, the Strike, The Yob, A Fistful of Travellers' Cheques"''. Also check Bad News tour episode which also very funny mockumentary of a BritIah heavy metal band. @@MovieChatter01

Hey friend. I love it too. I was also in the Dexter phase but I lost interest near the end and haven't seen the new seasons. I love Michael C. Hall though and would watch him in anything. I thought the ending for Six Feet Under was really fitting. Definitely beat out the ending of, The Sopranos. That is a solid blu-ray collection. I would have to recommend American Splendor (2003) with Paul Giamatti. It's based on the real-life comic writer Harvey Pekar. It's a comedy/drama. I watched and seen a few on your shelf that I am going to be adding to my buy list. =)

I love American Splendor. It's in with my DVD collection as there's no Blu-ray yet. It's a nice double feature with the documentary, Crumb. If you haven't seen it, I think you'll really enjoy it. This is England - is also very violent but the payload is in reverse of Dead Man's Shoes. To say more would spoil it for you. Also This is England is full of great characters and don't forget to check the 3 tv series of the same name that followed the film and set in later years, that continues the story and the characters to 1990.

Did you see Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe on Paramount+? I hope it gets a Blu-ray release like most of those Paramount+ originals do. I'd love a Mike Judge commentary too. Earlier this year I added Beavis and Butt-Head Do America and Office Space to my collection. I'm not familiar with Extract but it sounds interesting

I totally understand. You really have to watch it with the subtitles on because things are said, especially in the warehouse, that you just can't hear properly. The sound mixing isn't great. The main issue is he afraid to turn over what he's taped because of things that have happened in his past. He's worried about what will happen to the people on the tape. It's more about Gene Hackman's character than anything else, really. But very good when you can actually understand what he's saying. Good luck with it and thanks for watching. 😀👋🍿

You said it for D & D, if the movie only comes blu-ray or only 4K, how do you decide which one to buy?

Great question. When I bought the 4K, I never looked closely enough to see that it didn't include a Blu-ray. I would usually go for the combo pack. If I'm faced with a choice, I'll usually go Blu-ray. So when D&D didn't have the Blu-ray, I double dipped and now I check. The reason I'll pick the stand alone Blu-ray over just 4K is because I think Blu-ray (players and releases) have a proven track record. 4K is awesome when done right but I worry for the future as far as being able to find players that are great quality and still reasonably priced. I doubt finding Blu-ray players will ever be an issue, long term. But that's just me and I could be totally wrong in that thinking but that's where I'm at with it. Unless of course I already have the Blu-ray then a release with just the 4K is fine and I'll keep my existing Blu-ray. Thanks for watching and the great question. Hope it helped some. 👋🍿😀

"500 Days Of Summer"...poeh...dreadfully depressing movie! I had the same feeling with the movie "Up In The Air". They are both movies I had the feeling I really wasted my time watching them. Especially with "Up In The Air". George Clooney's character finally thinks he's found his true love...and than that revelation in the end...aweful! "What's the point?-movies" I call them. Yeah...the point is to make you feel depressed and life can s&@k and doesn't always go the way you want it to go, no matter how hard you try! You've just watched a movie where a guy chases a girl for a long time, but it's abvious from the start that it will not end up anywhere. Aweful feelings I had after seeing these movies! I'd rather watch "Requiem For A Dream" than "500 Days Of Summer"! And yeah...that's an extremely depressing movie too! The point of that movie is...don't do too much drugs (and becoming an addict) or bad things can happen to you. The destructive nature of a drug addiction.
