I finally figured how to open it: DO NOT try to open at the bottom try the top instead. The entrie back comes off, with the power button and camera button attached. See where the screen has a slight lip there on the top? Put your nail there and slide it left or right. The battery goes in text up. The sim goes in sliver chip down. Hope this helps

Happy this service was available to help my senior citizen, hearing impaired and bi-polar sister. She can barely afford the residence she's living in. And can't afford to support her. For anyone wondering theres a small groove on the side of the case look at it sideways and youll see it, theres where you pull the back off. - Its in his video

This year 2024 is the first time I own a smartphone. Yes, my wireless phone service carrier is Assurance Wireless. The installation was very hard only when I tried to open the case to install the battery and later on the SIM card in the evening. In the next morning, I discovered that I had to remove 2 more pieces from the SIM card before I inserted it into the card slot. Afterwards, the phone worked a bit more without lots of effort.

@@ianwest1624 thank you, it was so confusing trying to get information on how to open it, plus the instructions were so vague , they say you must open the back but oddly don't detail how to do it, plus on top of that they sent it without a chip, but thank you again, I thought i was going to break it trying to get it done lol

I have this phone and I was quite happy with until this morning. It shut off and then just keeps blinking on/off. I can't even shut it off. What happened 🤷🏽‍♀️ I tried to remove the back to get to the battery..... No dice. 😠

I was thinking when they were sending me a new phone it would be a upgrade over the one assurance I had 2 years ago. The vividness is the same and its just as slow. But, hey i need a back up. You NEVER KNOW. I came here to figure out how to get the back off!! I sacrificed my phone bill. For gas money and insurance. Just got approved for unemployment after a month and a number for job leads in one day 😉

Slide the menu down from the top then look for the power button and tap it the physical buttons don't power it down like most phones

Lol, Flip it over face down with the charger facing you. On the left of the phone toward the bottom, you'll see a very slim groove there. Peel that back, and you're in the phone. Worse case if you can't find it I'll do a short for you. Let me know

No way to unlock bootloader, OEM unlocking toggle is missing/hidden from developer options. No firmware available, no scatter. Smh wouldn't be too bad with root and mods etc
