Blue Angels LOW Over The Lake!

Check out some Blue Angel practice maneuvers on Friday at the 2022 Cleveland National Airshow in Ohio. Watch for the Opposing Solo to kick up a big blast of mist as he pulls hard on takeoff, blasting the lake with his afterburners. The 7th jet is flying photo chase with a photographer on board to capture images of the team's practice performance.

Friday’s in Cleveland prior to the Labor Day Weekend Air Show - Best day to be there to see the Blues. Bring a chair, a cooler and watch all the other planes arrive for the weekend. Always a great day! I’ve been fortunate enough to be on the Burke Airport grounds on countless Fridays prior to that weekend. I’ve been in the grass between the two runways and that is an incredible vantage to see four F18 Super Hornets scream down the runway. I have some video but never uploaded them to YT. Perhaps one of these days… Great video ~ Love it!! 👍🏼🇺🇸✌🏼

i trained in pensacola . i seen them do a HELL of a lot more bad as stuff than what they did on the vid few things i had to say they were damn nuts lol

It's no secret women are better pilots when it comes to aerobatics, both physically and mentally. Something to do with functioning under high G envoronments and manuevers. Kind of like how even young girls will go out there and do cartwheels and flip around, while boys tend to remain upright for the most part. Or am I no longer supposed to make those comparisons?

This is from the 9th street pier in Cleveland Ohio just west of the airport. This part of the pier is not accessible on actual air show performance days - FAA restricts access. The Friday practice day is the best part of the Cleveland Air Show. Inclement weather grounded the Blues Sunday and Labor Day Monday

The crazy thing about the Blues is they do the show without a G suit on.

They get used to the G forces instead, G suits would inflate& deflate preventing them from performing and maintaining the close tolerances that they perform!👍🏽🇺🇸🇺🇸

No. They never do anything spontaneously during a show routine. Everything is precise in timing to the second. Planned.

The pier is also just to the left of the airport, and extends almost to runway centerline. This puts you appx 200’ or so ahead of the spectator showline, if you were inside the airshow grounds, affording an even closer view :)
