Blue Angels Training Camp

From the files of Evening Magazine, this story covers the Navy's precision demonstration team at their training camp in El Centro, California. The pilot flying opposing solo, Mike Gershon, died later that year during a performance in Buffalo, NY. First broadcast on Evening Magazine, KPIX TV San Francisco, 5/08/1985.

Mike Gershon was one of my closest friends in flight school at Pensacola. A good man and a terrific Naval Aviator. Can still remember three of us watching an arrival show of "The Blues" in Pensacola in 1976 as Student Naval Aviators and Naval Flight Officers.
