I think it's kinda like a "You gotta learn how to be independent, since you were a little spoiled" situation. She does need to face her consequences for causing a coup, and instigating her friend's attempted assassination. But its not like Sensei is too cold, since they paid for her school clothes and spend their entire afternoon helping her pull weeds when Mika specifically told them not to. Or it could be that Sensei is incredibly dense this time around, no idea.

Sensei has to be more strict with Mika so she can actually put her nose down and do the dirty work that she always complains about. As Mika has shown, she has lived pretty lavishly enough to not worry about basic expenses, fusses over gym clothes that are literally meant to be dirty, and complain about basic chores that any independent student wouldn’t give two hoots about. Sensei knows she’s a capable girl (she can literally punch through walls and hold back an entire army all on her lonesome), so it’s not like she is physically incapable of being a competent person. She just needs a push, and the way Sensei conveys their love to Mika is not through flirting, but a sort of tough love to stick it out and hold Mika to the promises she made to the rest of Trinity.

Tough love. She lived quite a luxurious life so she needs to adapt. Both Saori and Mika tbh although Saori is a different circumstances as she's completely oblivious to the REAL world.
