Jennifer Esposito‘s departure was a huge loss to the show in my opinion. She’s such a fine actress & created a very strong character in Jackie. She was definitely Danny’s equal. While I enjoy Maria Biaz, no one can replace Jennifer‘s energy and timing. The show didn’t do right by her.

Jennifer Esposito’s character was awesome, and spectacularly played by J.E. My wife and I were both very disappointed that her character was not continued on the show. At the very least they could have brought her back as a recurring character throughout the remainder of the show. When Linda passed away, J.E. Was a natural fit to develop a love interest with Danny. The on screen chemistry between Esposito & Wahlberg would make such a relationship very believable.

The show should have done more with Linda's death(Maybe a flashback scene when the helicopter taking off...but not show the crash...but with a voice over of Danny getting the call of the tragedy...and a shot of the family at the cemetery the day of her funeral) I also feel the show should have at least filmed the entire wedding ceremony of Jaime and Eddy....not just her walking up the aisle....and then fade out with the guests clapping after the priest announces to everyone " I now present Mr. and Mrs Jaime Regan" ..and you see Jaime and Eddy smiling back at their guests...

I did admire Jennifer Esposito's acting. She complained about race swapping, Danny's first partner was a black man. Secondly they had different names so different characters. And she got a full season on NCIS. Another CBS show.

The story about Linda dying in a helicopter crash is wrong too. Linda died when a gang that was enemies with Danny blew up his house in Staten Island. His sons got out. Linda was left inside and died in the explosion & fire.

I have watched every episode of Blue Bloods but the newer ones are too dark in the office or police stations rooms. Why have you chosen some dark lighting? Sometimes I just don't watch it but listen to it because I can't seen characters. Out side daytime scenes are OK. And it is not my TV..

Aside from character exits, I also find the show's transittion from season to season to be choppy as well. Like Jamie and Eddie's wedding. We spend a whole season seeing the planning, but we don't even get to see the vows? Then Det. Diaz all of a suddeen has a baby in the season opener, but we see no pregnancy, no set up. It's either poor writing, or it's intentional. But why?

Love Blue bloods but it’s getting predictable….Joe, Danny and Anthony magically always end up working the same case, Frank butts heads with Sid, Garret and sometimes Baker on how to handle a bad cop, Henry stuck in his back in the day we did _____ routine, Jamie butts into someone else’s affairs and drags Eddie into it, Danny is Danny, Danny, Joe and Anthony ask Erin for a favor on a case and she plays it straight and by the books annoying them….did I miss anything

Each chapter or season, more actors arrived for 1 or 2 days and then they were taken out without any explanation. Llinda was unnecessary, they would have better brought in Nicky or Linda's children who went to study far away, etc., and Jackie would have been brought in to be Danny's partner, don't you think? I didn't like the date with the other actress.

Jennifer Esposito played the role of Detective more convincingly than Baez. Baez always acts like she has her hooks out for Danny, especially when there is another female on set. She seldom seems like a partner you would want for a lifeline; she's more like an anchor. In tight spots , she has seldom come across as a lifeline. Jackie jumped in with both with both feet minus the helpless female whine "Daaaannneeee'" Big difference without " Jackie" Jennifer. Truthfully Baez is on training wheels and timid. Comical ehe. She tries to be a badass. Nust my opinion. Wouldn't miss her.

I hated the dinner scene--the clink of silverware on plates...the grandpa's words of wisdom back in his day., Selleck's school of frown acting, Danny's constant anger. I liked Jaime--hated his wife, loved Nikki, but they gave her one line an episode-She was too good to keep her. Really disliked Selleck's assistant... Half the time they had to soothe his feelings.
