Gives me hope. My son and I are getting ready to start bank fishing again this year on the Ohio/Guyandotte Rivers in Huntington, WV. I hope to catch a blue this year.

I think I may have already ask you, but what part of the Ohio river you fish? I’m up right in the mouth of the Ohio and Kentucky where they meet. And up to markland.

From Meldahl to Markland. I hear the Kentucky mouth is pretty decent at times. Never have fished it. I don’t fish around Markland dam a whole lot.

Red horn makes a pretty nice affordable net that I’m using right now in a 8 foot size. Love it.. Betts is a great net also. I do prefer a half inch mesh if I can find one and then if I’m throwing in water deeper than 15 foot I prefer a taped net and Fitech makes a great one for that. I generally always throw an 8 foot but if I’m going to throw under trees or in shallow water, I will drop down to a six. Open water that is more than 14 or 15 I throw a 10 foot taped net
