@@karylyon1132 it was the tuning and part of my opinion is shaped by them switching to god awful Dynasty after that season. Love them now after Paul Rennick got ahold of them. It will be interesting when BD come back next season with Ludwig drums.

A real shame averaging the percussion scores for high percussion wasn't the thing back in '99. I wasn't even old enough to appreciate DCI back then, but based on the videos I've seen the 99 line was special and achieved standards beyond some of the previous high percussion winners.
