As a drummer who dreamt of being in a band performing, with crippling anxiety and stage fright, I wish i knew about being a drumtech back then. Thank you for your hard work you do for these videos dude 🤘

Wow! Those toms sound beautiful, is it mostly the shells or the heads that give it such a "thunky" sound?
@PhilthyDrumTech3 күн бұрын
@@quinnpalmermusic6224 it’s a combination of shells, and how you tune the heads. The type of head and brand you use is just preference. I’ve worked on my tuning for a couple decades, so I’ve learned a few tricks over the years. I’m glad you enjoy the tones :)

Do you personally prefer Remo or Evans ?

@@cDisturbed. I’ve been an Evans guy for over 20+ years, but recently in the last couple years have been trying out Remo. This tour has kinda brought me back over to Evans, though.

In one of Matt Horn's vids one of the venue staff was going around to each tech and trying to blag free stuff off them. He was caught trying to steal some guitar picks, then later tried get some drum heads and sticks out of Matt. He was reported and told to go home. Some people are just shameless.

He was just a kid. He was harmless, and just a fan of the artist playing. He was just excited to have made it on stage to talk to the drummer and I.

@@parthdua1342 I'm not saying this guy was up to no good. But I was just reminded of that other video I saw recently and how easy it must be for some people to get access to venues and be able to just go poking around. In the case of the Matt Horn vid the guy was an employee of the venue. That's crazy enough. But some rando literally walking up to the drum riser and shooting his shot would creep me the hell out, too.
