How many of the quads were in that ridiculous 95 line? OMG! I still remember looking at the Pasic article for the tenor feature🤯

There were 5 quads in ‘95, but i think only 2 on the ‘97 line were carryovers from ‘95 and ‘96 for that matter. That ‘96 line was amazing as well.

@@mattklinghamer370 95 had Sean Vega 94-97, Geoff Fry 95 (Brit rudimentary KZbinr), Camden McConnell 94-96 (Marched Top Bass for SCV 92-93), Dave Turner 95-96 - Was marching in the 97 line, but had to drop out right before tour and Chris Burroughs (95-97) stepped in for Dave.

I love how you guys can’t get through an entire tune before one of you is like “I NEED THAT AGAIN!” Haha. Amazing drumline! And if you ever get a chance to see that double stop quad section in the “Night in Tunisia” tune, you gotta see it from another angle! It’s crazier than you think!

That speed of light snare roll phrase that follows the snare/quad metric modulation, and ends with hits as tight as a cat's butt still holds as my favorite DCI snare roll to this day. Y'all had some real balls.

I was with Kiwanis Kavaliers marching sop/trumpet this year and got to see this show a bunch. You mentioned them playing with pretty high stick heights. If I remember right, they were pretty far back field a lot of the show and the horn line this year (and 98 for that matter) was loud af so it makes sense. Had to play high stick heights just to balance.

While yall thought a lot of this looked goofy, they were the first to do most of these visuals and it fit perfectly with the front ensemble and horn book. 97 was iconic for battery. They featured the line in musical spots you'd not expect. Every solo and showcase was a moment in this show. The camera guys actually did a fair job showing it for once as well. I took my dad to his first DCI show and when they performed the warmup with ditty in the backfield my dad was like "yup they just won". Scores didn't show how superior this corps was to 2nd place.
