Dang they were the first performers too, I'd hate to have to follow that lol. So clean!

They usually try to adjust around your schedule School > Corps they don't want you giving up school life just so you can make it to practice. You just make it when you can.

I was talking specifically about BDA, they adjust to your schedule. I don't know about when Bluecoats start all days/tour you'd have to find out. I'm assuming you can, but it would be expensive to fly out to camps over and over again or making it to all days if you live far. From what I've heard, my percussion tech marched blue stars and his best friend was in bluecoats, they are based in Ohio, but they practice in California.
@xxzhoutaixx12 жыл бұрын
And what I mean by downtime is usually corps will get to a site, at like 9 in the morning and then start rehearsing, whereas BD gets to a site, sleeps for about another 6 hours and then rehearses. So we spend more time resting than actually rehearsing unlike most corps

NICE!!!!!!!!! Why would you be missing on too much. Would any world class corps do that? Is BD cheaper than others? Why would you sleep from 9am-3pm when you get there instead of rehearse???!

NICE! That must be very tiring dude.. Where'd ya march?
@xxzhoutaixx12 жыл бұрын
It's hard to organize a bass I&E because the amount of time the drumline spends together is already more than the hornline so they have less time to practice. Then you have to make sure all 5 people are okay with it, or that they can all make it. In short, organizing 5 people who already spend their whole day practicing and seeing if they want to extend their bed time 1-2+ hours is hard to do.

Guys, why are there no bass I&E's?
@xxzhoutaixx12 жыл бұрын
I marched BDB, and I'm probably gonna audition for A after I graduate High school, in two years. I don't wanna audition for A cause I'd be missing out on too much b/c of school. And I'd rather not audition for another world class corps due to fees for transportation. And doing BDB or BDA is actually a lot less stressful than most other corps. Our instructors give us a lot more downtime than other corps, but I&E's are still hard to practice.

BD is a lot cheaper than others, because of their sponsorships they spend a lot less money on instruments and other things so for BD costs are about $2200 for other corps it's about 2800+, our fields are also paid for a dollar every year, very cheap. and world class corps begin all days in May whereas world class corps begin in June so most i'd miss either corps work or school work. And then we sleep from 9-3pm because staff wants us to be well rested, they believe in work smarter not harder.

@xxzhoutaixx12 жыл бұрын
It would probably be a bland category, would you want to listen to one bass drum play a solo for more than 20 seconds? Like some corps do put in a one bass drum solo but it's for like a measure, 4 minutes would be too much. And usually they get practice time after they rehearse, so they do a 9-10 o clock rehearsal and then from 10-12 they're allowed to find a spot in the school and rehearse until 12 when they're forced to hit the beds.
@ImEverythingYouCrave13 жыл бұрын
