The difference is that Magia can’t be splashed in every deck. You either have to build around it, or once these new BE cards release, play a BE deck. Since verte anaconda is allowed in MD, dragoon could be summoned easily in any deck. Also there are plenty of other monsters more insane than Magia that are allowed

Magia is supposed to be strong considering the hoops you have to go through to get it out, plus it’s the fusion of the powered up versions of the 2 signature Ace Boss monsters that belong to 2 of the strongest duelists of all time so of course it’d have to be overpowered.
